I didn't hear Paul do the opener (watched on NBC) but have heard him do games in the past, and I think he is by far the best alternative the Sabres have offered up so far.

I don't know...to me, everyone panics over RJ, Hamilton or Sylverster...but I think Rob Ray is just brutal to listen to. I am no fan of Harry Neale, so I don't mind that subtraction...but, Ray is kind of humrous in small doses...but he is rough on the ears...someone needs to tell him to breath, and speak from his diaphram, not his nasal cavity... give Andrew Peters a shot at doing color... :thumbsup: I hear ya!

I actually like Paul Hamiltons' coverage of the Sabres. I don't think he is so great as a Bills reporter, and, I assume, it is a role he would rather not have... but he gives more insight, IMO, to the behind the scenes of the Sabres than anyone else.

I have been a lurker here for years, and don't post as much as many of you. Something I have always been wondering about Sabre Space: What is the purpose of the "Sabres Transactions" section, linked on the home page? Sometimes it shows actual transactions, and other times, it is just a players' name mentioned being traded to an unknown team. Are these all based on hypotheticals and published rumors? Is the source solely Hockey Perspectus? I just don't get it. Please explain.

Yup...only one television. NFL.com had the start times of the first NFL game at 1pm...only half hour after Sabres start. Maybe they are wrong.

Excited that hockey is back...one bummer though...the season opener, on NBC, will be going up against NFL Conference Championship playoff game...I got a feeling I will get outvoted in our house, on that one...tough being a hockey fan in the middle of Texas!

What a douche! You I mean....you prefer to buy on Amazon, but you want to take a trip to the mall to dog ear their book, and then buy it from someone else...I think I just found my complaint for next Thursay! :P

If that is the case, why weren't all the people they found dead, in their cars, along the interstate (season 2 opening episode) zombies?

The show comes back for Season 2, Part 2 in February 2012. I like this show, but the second season has been a little disappointind. Loved the season premier, and the episode where Darryl goes off in the woods, on the horse...the rest has been a little repeititive. Also loved the "flashback" scene, a few weeks back, where they see Atlanta beig Napalmed...that was pretty chilling...wish they would show a little more of that kind of stuff, and less of Rick pontificating what it means to be a leader, and questioning his faith. Great issues to be sure, but they never seem to go anywhere with it...just too many repetitive scenes.
