Man, watching game 1 of ST Louis vs Colorado last night was incredible. Not to be a downer, but the Sabres still have a long way to go. I don't think they would be able to handle to pounding both these teams were dishing out. Still gonna need some more maturity outta these guys.

Just a couple random thoughts:
I like Calgary but is it wrong to still not want Canada to win the Cup? The 1993 drought continues. Haha is that wrong not wanting a Canadian team to win it? I'm just glad Toronto is OUT again.😁
I don't mind the Panthers, but I just can't bring myself to root for their first Cup ahead of the Sabres.
Tampa Bay? Yeah, thats a big NO!
The Cane's should take care of Da Raaaaanger's
I'm gonna root for Colorado. I like McKinnon a lot. Good solid team. GO AV's!

Sorry if this has already been asked, but is Josh Bloom available to play tonight or can he not? I forget all the OHL/AHL rules.
Go AMERKS!!

I didn't mind the Goathead. They definitely modeled the color scheme after Adelphia Cable 100%. But it was way better than the BuffASlug, I'm sure we can all agree.

The other person I see as a very real possibility to join the Amerks (if Hinostroza is re-signed and Quinn looks good in camp) is Bjork. No team in the league is going to pick up his $1.6M contract.
Let's hope so. Bjork has been a major disappointment.
I hope Buffalo re-signs Vinny. He's been excellent and exactly the kind of vet this team needs.

The cupboard in Rochester with good prospects is getting a little bare.
Solid list GA! Good work updating the Rochester hopefuls. Olivier Nadeau looks like a hidden gem so far.

Here we go... 14-0 starting tonight vs Smashville!

Man, that looked bad. I hope he recovers soon. He's a great player for the 'Yotes.

Knights only 1 point out of a Wild Card spot after trashing the Preds last night, 6-1. And Dallas pulled one outta their butts last night too, WOW!

Wow, I can't believe folks are actually defending the Disney Duck logo! It's terrible. Disney is terrible. I'm so glad they dropped all Disney likeness and changed it. The new webbed logo is light years better than that garbage.

Penguins spanked Columbus last night 5-1. Hopefully a back to back for them will help our boys tonight but I'm not holding my breath. They always have our number and Crosby owns the Sabres. 💩

Hinostroza is a useful winger for the 3rd line so taking a 5th for him only hurts our present growth for a lottery ticket.
Agree. I'm glad Buffalo hung on to Hinostroza. He's been a pleasant surprise this season. Has wheels and can pump in some timely goals and assists.

Also, Max Pacioretty has been hurt and that along with Stone being out really hurts their firepower. Goaltending has not been a strength as well. Maybe a .500 team for a while.
Also out are Brayden McNabb and Alec Martinez on their defense. Two studs missing on the back end.

I agree that Jack can be a very spoiled brat and I’m not sorry he’s gone. I’m thrilled with the play and emotion Tuch and Krebs bring each night. Tuch especially hates to lose and it’s evident each game but unlike Jack he doesn’t sulk.
However, I didn’t take his comments so negatively. I thought it was an emotional lament from a guy who played hard here and never succeeded. He never was fully embraced by the fans or his teammates (thanks ROR and Kane). I think for a guy who has succeeded at ever level of hockey he played at and then failing here weighs on him terribly. I truly believe he wanted to succeed in Buffalo and the organization really never gave him a legit opportunity to succeed.
Sadly Jack’s failures here belong to one person and that is Terry Pegula. He and his incompetent organization dropped this kid in the deep end with weights tied to his legs. I believe that if management had done a proper rebuild around Jack and Sam, we would be a playoff team today. That would have meant bringing in good role models like KO and Pominville and not ROR, Kane, Bogo and Lehner.
The Sabres today are a unified lockerroom pulling in the same direction as Anderson said tonight post game. In Jack’s era it was a fractured locker room lead by a-holes. Sadly Jack took his cues from the wrong vets.
Excellent post. I agree with all you stated. Especially about Tuch. He gets mad, I'm sure, but the key is he doesn't whine about it publicly or on the ice.

Sabres need some depth scoring to win this one even though Skinner - Tage - Tuch is a very good line. Maybe our defense outside of Dahlin will show up.
Um, Sabres haven't had depth scoring in a decade. It's been a problem forever. I hope it will soon change and I have a bad feeling the Leafs will pound Buffalo tonight. C'mon boys.. step it up!!

Maybe a nice entertaining game to watch as Leafs win 7-5. Don't see how Buffalo's defense will hold up against the top two lines.
What defense?

Asplund being bumped down to Bjork/Eakin replacement is effectively the same as losing his spot. He’s been pushed out of the top 9.
Good. He's been useless this entire season.

We can all agree Hinostroza isn't a world beater but he has speed and creates scoring chances. Him being out so long has really hurt this team. That and the goalies, but we won't discuss the goalies.

At this point he can't be any less impactful than Oloffson, why not give him a look?
Or Asplund. He's been a waste of a roster spot all season.

T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. If you haven't been to it yet, put it on your hockey list. Just an awesome game day experience from start to finish. Sensory Overload!!
-
Keep, but offer a bridge deal. Nothing long term. Even 4 years is too long. Hope he rediscovers his shot because right now, he's been mostly useless out there.

Can Will Butcher just miss the rest of the season please? 😄

I'm really glad he scored. Big monkey off his back.
And VO is a finisher. If they can get VO finishing again we suddenly have another scoring line.
I was hard on VO earlier in this game thread but he finally buried one and it was glorious! Great game winning goal.

Fantastic Mike! He put the Leafs jersey away for one night. Thank you sir!
