If you’re out of market your best bet is just ESPN+. Not a bad deal either.

I was looking at this. I live in Las Vegas, would I get every Sabre game on ESPN+? If so I'll pull the trigger. I've been using some of the illegal sites but they are always sketchy and tons of pop up garbage. Tired of it.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. If you get a chance to go, you shouldn't miss it. I went to the last two in Las Vegas and both were great. Met Rob Ray, Marty Biron, Don Luce, Rick Martin, Rick Jeanerrette, JP Dumont, Jason Dawe, Danny Gare, Rhett Warrener, Jordan Leopold, Grant Fuhr, Duffer, Clint Marlarchuk and current GM Kevyn Adams. Its usually about 2-3 hours held at a bar or restaurant. There is a VIP package you can buy which includes the buffet. I just got a regular ticket both times. All the players are friendly and never felt out of place making conversation with any of them. Its a cool experience and they usually have raffle prizes and trivia. Totally worth it and lots of fun. Don't miss it especially if RJ is in attendance.

    LETS GO BUFFALO!

  3. Nice write up. Good points made on all Eastern teams. I'd swap NY Islanders to 6th and move Pittsburgh to 12. The Pens are so overrated. And I'm willing to bet New Jersey ends up higher than Ottawa (mostly because I think the Sens D is gonna stink). Just a hunch though.

I love the Sabres as dogs and surprise everyone. Like you said, they have a ton of speed now and their D with the addition of Owen Power is going to stabilize this group (even as a rookie). Just need a solid performance from the goal tending and this team will be a lot stronger than years past.

  4. Concerning the National Anthem. No, this has nothing to do with kneeling.

If you are at a bar or public establishment, and you are not personally at the game, do you stop what you're doing, stop talking and sit/stand quietly while the anthem is performed out of respect OR do you go about your business, talk with your table of friends, chat with the bartender, check your phone messages, etc. while waiting for the puck drop?

I'm just curious because my wife and I were watching game 2 of the Cup Finals this past Saturday. We live in Vegas so it was a neutral setting. When the anthem began, everybody in the bar sat quiet while the singer did his thing. You could hear a pin drop. I found this really odd because my thinking is, if you're not physically there at the game you should be able to do what you want, however my wife disagreed and thinks everyone should stop what their doing and be quiet. It was quite the debate.

So whats your opinion on this? What say you Sabrespace?

I believe Quick has 1 year left on his contract.

And I believe Manson is no longer a defensive stud, his game has fallen off a decent amount.

Yep, my bad, he does have one more year on that 10 year contract.

I have to disagree with you on Manson. He's been playing lights out this Playoff Season for the Avs.

  6. He's not on this list, but I think he's a UFA and that would be Jonathan Quick (LA Kings). He's 36 and I thought he had a good season and a good series against Edmonton in the first round. Throw him a 2 year deal $$$ he can't refuse. He could be a perfect stop gap Goaltender to hold the Sabres over while UPL, LEVI and PORTILLO figure it out.

If not, I voted for Josh Manson. Dude is a defensive stud.

I'm thinking over hockey history and have a few names you might remember. Darcy Tucker. Could play, quite a bit like Marchand, but not nearly as good and I'd say far dirtier. Kenny Linsman, possibly the biggest rat in history the way he'd start things and never finish them himself. Matt Cooke, king of the cheap shots. Claude Lemieux, now there's a man who defined dirty. Apple fell near the tree with his less talented son too. How about Dale Hunter? Let's ask Pierre Turgeon about him. Mr. Knee on knee Bryan Marchment is another good one.

But the absolute winner for me is Sean Avery. Biggest ass....in hockey history without question.

Agree 100% on Claude Lemieux. He's at the top of my list. Dale Hunter is second.

I thought the Florida series was going to be a war. they've had some serious dust ups in the past but Florida not playing physical at all. Afraid of taking penalties or just uninspired idk. Their PP has gone limp too. Samson not rising to the occasion.

100% agree with this statement. Sure the Panthers are slick and have fast skaters but as we all know, the Playoffs are a physical grind and they are paying the price in this round. Florida needs a game three win or its bye-bye!
