    It's available now.

I started it late and was watching it. And then I couldn't. For well over an hour.

Well over two hours on ROKU.

And seriously, no "start from beginning"?

My response was related to the “start from beginning.” While there is no “start from beginning” button, once you e started the game “live” you can scroll back in time to the start of the game.

Doesn’t matter how far they moved up. My point is if another team picked Allen before 7, how brilliant would they be today? Simple question.

Maybe they stand pat and take Lamar Jackson at pick 12? Would be very curious to see their QB board from that year.

Yep. We attended, and there was zero mask wearing in the stands. Zero. And I know damn well that ~1/3 of the crowd was unvax'd. There was some mask wearing in the concourses ... but that was at less than 10% (and was supposed to be 100%).

Was mask wearing in the stands mandated? I recall the requirements being only in the concourses and bathrooms.

Why is the Buffalo Sabres’ arena getting roped into this?

I’m told PSE has not asked for a penny to renovate the 25-year-old KeyBank Arena. Not yet anyway.

The Sabres’ lease runs until 2025. PSE is said to be focusing solely on the Bills’ stadium with the intention of addressing KeyBank Center afterward.

They agreed to give it time to heal on it's own with conservative treatment.   They also agreed that if it wasn't healed by a certain date, they would OK the surgery.

That said, the agent's letter mentions that Buffalo is no longer approving surgery even after the agreed upon rehab window has expired.

This tells me that either it is slowly healing and they want to give it more time (most likely IMO), or they are close to a trade and don't want to be liable for the surgery.

“After the agreed-upon and prescribed period for conservative rehabilitation lapsed in early June 2021, it was determined by the Sabres medical staff that a surgical procedure was required,” the agents said.

Time for KA to say Jack is off the market.  He should say that we are committed to get Jack healthy and back on the ice to help our young team.

If I were KA I’d tell Jack’s agent that his public comments are the reason he was taken off the market and that if he wants Jack traded he needs to waive the NMC and he’ll allow Jack to have surgery.  Once Jack returns and proves he is healthy, then and only then will KA consider a trade.

The Sabres allegedly have stated that Jack needs surgery to get healthy. I don't know that holding Jack's health and ability to play hostage for contract concessions is going to fly.

    And there it is.

Fish tightening the screws to help Drury get his prize.

I was going to post something along these lines - perhaps less nefarious.

Fish is in contact with league GMs and I’m sure he’s keeping tabs on the trade daily. Perhaps teams are frustrated by the asking price, or feel they have met it. There could also be frustration with the Sabres not taking back salary.

We asked around, nobody offered anything close to your value, their concerns were your injury. If you want to get out of here I can appreciate that and I will still try to accommodate you but this is what I need from you in order to make that happen. First I need you and your representation to stop whining in the media. It's not helping. Second, you're going to need to play and play well. Third, I need you to waive your NMC for 2022-23 at a minimum because it will hamstring my ability to move you along which, as you've stated, is your priority. If you choose to limit where you want to go, that in turn limits what I am able to get in return for you which then leads us back to this point with you not being traded which is fine with us.  If you don't want to do these things that is up to you but understand you are under contract for the next 5 seasons.  I'd rather have this done for you in an expeditious manner but if you're not going to help me then I can't really help you.

There ya go, player friendly management.

    If I'm him I'm amenable to 1 and 2. #3 is a no.

I'll come and play hard and do what I can when I'm healthy. But you've got until 7/1/22 to move me otherwise I pick where.

  9. Thought it might be worth noting:

ESPN plus has a price increase coming in August - for those planning to subscribe anyway a yearly subscription would cost less prior to 8/13/21.

Also- Rackuten has $10 cash back on a yearly

  10. I don't see this in either of the Eichel threads, on 31 Thoughts podcast from this morning:

Friedman: I think the only thing that is suddenly becoming an issue here is, if you don't do this deal soon is the acquiring team going to be comfortable that Eichel is going to have time to recover to be ready for next year. And again, the ask is really high, there is one team that's out there and someone from there just said "you wouldn't believe what the ask is."

...I just think the ask is really high. We'll see, they've tried to keep a lid on it after everything that happened when it first started. There is at least one team that's out there that is saying "if this isn't soon we're out."

The only connection I see is that his uncle James Patrick played and coached here.  Not sure if that matters to Nolan or not.

Pretty sure former Sabre 1st-rounder Steve Patrick is his dad.

If nothing else this has been enlightening, I didn't know either of those things.
