  1. It'd certainly be nice with a PP goal right about now.
  2. Can't be bothered to view their thread, still feel immensely smart after following the game thread frim last time we played them. The fact that they ban people and lock threads just illustrates how poorly armed they are when it comes to discussing a sport that does not involve turning left for hours.
  3. If The Sabres can play 60 minutes of hockey for once this season, I doubt Carolina will have much of a chance. However, if they think 15-20 minutes are gonna cut it, they're in trouble. Hence I also think Carolina will take 2 points tonight.
  4. PP is 2 for 27 in our last 5 games?? Ugh, this is worse than I thought.......
  5. I don't think anyone on this board ever thought The Sabres didn't need to work in order to win. Apparently though, The Sabres thought differently.
  6. I'm still gutted over the fac that this just HAS to happen against The Leafs. Well... Still better than aginst The Cryers, who BTW are getting clobbered by Washington, but not much!
  7. Yeah. Oh well, no excuse for not getting back to earth now after two such weak displays in a row.
  8. Yup, pretty weak.
  9. Gaustad drawing two penalties in a row, nice one. They need more than one goal on this one.
  10. Hope you're right, but I'm ALMOST wishing they won't. They need a dose of reality, but why oh why does it have to be on home ice against The Leafs?
  11. Certainly is, but it's not like the team has been rock solid at any point in this season, so the drop to where they are now is not as far as people seem to believe. So far this season, I don't think they've played one full game of hockey except against The Isles, and seeing as it's The Isles I'm not sure that counts :D At any rate, I don't mind them getting their heads out of the clouds, just ticks me off that it has to happen like this.
  12. Actually, just checking the stats here, it's three games with a GAA of 4-00. He allowed 4 against Atlanta as well. Well not entirely 4.00, there's two OT periods in there as well. Hasn't been his usual solid self since the SO gainst The Isles, IMHO. Doesn't matter now anyways though, they need at least 3 in the third.
  13. Never said he was the problem, I said what you usually do in this situation is yank your goalie to shake up the team.
  14. That'd I agree with, but you've been following this game long enough to know that this is a game of streaks if ever there was one. My point is just that when things go like they're going now and you need to shake up your team, more often than not, you would pull a goalie who has allowed 8 goals in two games, at least give me that.
  15. Mistype on my part, but you know what I was getting at. A GAA of 4.00 in 2 games is not a healthy GAA.
  16. Well, so far it's a GAA of 8.00 in two games. If he's anything like most goalies, I don't think his confidence is completely healthy as it is. Not sure it's completely gone either, but surely he's not feeling 100% about his gamenow? Well if you could pull the reast of the team, I'm sure that'd be the way to go, but as it is, you pull the goalie.
  17. No but it might wake up his team. Doesn't really matter if he's played well or not when you're down 4-1, does it?
  18. Somebody give Miller the hook please, might wake up this bunch of sleepwalkers.
  19. Tucker?? Nooooooo, not TUCKER!!?
  20. Ridiculous. But we dive a lot, you know.
  21. Weak ass call on Roy.
  22. Bites. Never was the most durable team I ever saw.
  23. JESUS CHRIST!!!! How the hell did this team go from an offensive juggernaut to the 2002-2003 Sabres in five days!??!?!
  24. They're just not skating. No transition game whatsoever, and giving Boston a ton of odd-man rushes.
  25. Well, unless they start skating anytime soon, this one looks done. Christ almighty they stink tonight.
