But then there's the idea that you'll never get enough from the trade. No matter what it is, folks will complain. Plus, if moving Jack is inevitable, why push off your rebuild by a year? Get those assets now and start using them. Was it Dreger or Friedman who said there's a market for Eichel now, even with the injury? I say tell all interested parties to make their best offers now. Because this is another thing: let Jack's new team deal the surgery decision.

If the Eichel relationship is beyond healing then Adams needs to act swiftly. Move on from the distraction. Don't let this linger. Don't let it fester. Get what you can get and turn the page. Depending how evil Jack wants to get he can make things very tough on the Sabres.

OT:Toronto Blue Jays to Play Games at Sahlen’s Field this Summer

Here's my question. Will the Jays create some Buffalo-themed merch to sell? They didn't last year. They'd be fools not to do it now. I'm seeing some bootleg stuff popping up in Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/shop/VictoryShirtsStore -
Why do we always bet the under? It's not impossible he could be good. NHL players don't all decend from the heavens.
-
Oh Lord. Can we get you anything else, Jack? Fluff your pillow? Rub your corns?
-
Okay. I thought it was because he was supposedly disgruntled.
-
Yeah, no one would have noticed.
-
Why Olaffson? I don't trust Eichel one bit in this situation.
-
Holding on to Eichel too long could backfire on the Sabres. He's going to be a distraction. He might even hold out claiming his neck isn't right, which will drive down his trade value even more. If you're going to move on from Eichel, rip the bandage off now and move on. Whatever players an Eichel trade would net you, wouldn't you want them at camp anyway?

And Sahlens proved to be a real hitter friendly park last year. -
Not Samson. We are going to fight to keep him.

If a team is willing to give the Sabres a package like this right now with Jack still injured you grab it with both hands. Letting the "Eichel Disconnect" linger into next season will just make things worse. God forbid we get to the last few weeks before Jack's NMC kicks in. Rip the bandage off and move on.

You're right. I'm just thinking that Sam has been around longer than Jack and has seen more losing. He's burnt out, but he can still show up and play. And he saw what the young players can do. Maybe you can coax Sam to give it one more year and be the leader.

Won't happen. They are taking a bath right now. Being able to have some fans in Buffalo lessens the sting. But they would never choose to play here over Toronto. That's why you gotta see it if you can. -
But you trade him at the deadline to a contender if that's his wish. At least we get something.
-
Many actually.
-
It's to gain Sam's trust. Get him to become the leader of the Sabres. If it doesn't work. He's free.
-
Sam, not Jack, is the guy you try to coax to stick around. Make him a promise. Give it till trade deadline. Give Granato and the kids a training camp. If the Sabres are still floundering, Sam can pick his spot.
-
KA is going to move Eichel quickly. Nothing to be gained if this lingers into training camp. Turn the page. It sounds like there is a market for Jack. The key is not getting hung up on no trade return being good enough. Grab the good deal. My old boss had a saying: "Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered."
