    I didn’t like the way they played.   They have been outshot and outhit.  Yet they lead.

    UPL had to be stellar and was.

    Flyers are playing fast. We look a half step behind. They're beating us to pucks and getting chances off those possessions.

    But their goalie looks shaky. The problem with the Tommy Dangles goal by Tage, now everyone is juking instead of just shooting.

  2. Amerks are the best team in the AHL over the last 10 (8-1-0-1) and are officially in 2nd place in the North division. Despite being tied with Cleveland with 77 points, Rochester has more regulation wins. (22 vs 21) Syracuse is 1st with 80 points and 28 regulation wins. So the Amerks have to get ahead to claim the 1-seed in the conference, and play the winner of the 4-5 play-in round, which could be anyone from Toronto, Laval, Belleville or Utica. Syracuse, Cleveland and Rochester all have 7 games left. Only CLE and ROC play each other once more.

    For those Amerks experts. Will we make it back to the conference finals again this year?

    They are certainly peaking at the right time. Kulich has his scoring touch back. They are playing better defense too. Big test Saturday against Providence. The P-Bruins are very good.

  4. 6-1 final. Amerks are 8-1-1 in their last 10. Tied with CLE for #2 seed after being 8 points behind in the standings. Just 3 back of SYR for #1 conference seed with 7 games left.  FYI I'll be at the Providence game. I got a seat right behind the Amerks bench tonight.

  5. Up 2-0 in the first few minutes!!

    3-0!! Neuchev on the PP!!

    With a win tonight the Amerks tiw Cleveland for #2 seed and are 3 pts behind SYR for #1.

    4-1 after 1.

    Did he have to go back to Rochester to gain eligibility for the playoffs? Does anyone know the actual rule as he did not start the season in the AHL. I know in the stat sheet he is a little short of qualified. "Goalies must have 1260 minutes to be considered qualified" That number goes up a time goes on. Does anyone know if it has anything to do with eligibility? He currently has 1142 min played so 2 full games away from being qualified. He did hit the number just before being called up but it has gone up since then.

    He's fully eligible now. Remember he was "sent down" on March 8 (Deadline day)  to make it happen.

    The Amerks play tonight, the Sabres don't play again until Friday. He can start and be backup for each, respectively.

    Yes. But there's a limit to moves. We might be down to 4. Curious to see if Kulich gets a couple games.

    The right move.  Rochester is fighting for their lives and he will help immensely.  Plus valuable playoff experience.  It doesn't matter if Comrie goes in anymore.

    "Playing for their lives" is a bit dramatic. They are comfortably in a playoff spot. But #2 and #1 conference seeds are in play.

    Apparently Pegula’s pride in Rochester has taken a hit.

    This sucks.
    My take: you can’t make money running an antiquated, million-year-old arena so here’s the keys to everything but the locker rooms.

    The arena is in desperate need of a dramatic makeover.  And while I’m not a billionaire and think differently than billionaires, this sucks. The Rochester partnership won’t effect his overall wealth. Pegula opting out means he’s counting small zeros when his legacy could have made a dramatic difference to ROC.

    Pegula pride? LOL nah.

    But unlike “sell the team,” Rochester may not be able to afford that. Sigh.

    I've always wondered why Rochester never talks about building a new modern arena, other than the cost. They could really use one.

    They are playing a lot better, which is why not having Levi a few nights wasn't a disaster. Top conference seed is still in reach. 8 more regular season games left.

    The problem I have is that you can clearly see the Sabres are better than every team near them in the standings but managed to piss an entire year of everyone’s lives right down the toilet.  This team should be sitting comfortably in a playoff spot.  Instead our kids couldn’t figure out how to get motivated to not be down 2-0 in 30 freaking games.  Part of it is on the GM for not bringing in the leadership and players they needed to get over the hump. Part of it is on Granato for NEVER figuring out how to ensure they didn’t barf all over themselves in the first 10 minutes of every game.  Part of it is on players like Kyle Woe-Poso and Erik “where’s my” Johnson for fostering resentment toward fans and not getting this team where it should be.  There is nothing indicating anything has changed.

    Lose = get mad. 😠

    Win = get mad. 😠
