The Buffalo Sabres are too comfortable and too many young players that are running the locker room with little accountability. The Sabres have to get older more experienced players that have grown up. When you have a hockey team that is upset because of Sabres fans booing and chants of fire Don Granato there priorities aren’t in the right place. Newsflash you are losing that is what happens in professional and college sports when you don’t win fans boo and want changes. The Buffalo fans don’t owe you a NHL job with no accountability for your play. This Buffalo Sabres team as it is meaning do nothing in the off season you’re going to get the same results as the last 13 years. Watch some of those Buffalo Sabres shows on the Sabres players you can see the Sabres are more a college frat house playing video games, golfing and screwing around. That needs to change for the Buffalo Sabres too many young players together is a bad idea. With older players that frat house crap won’t be mostly the entire Sabres team as it is now. This Sabres team was doomed from the very beginning too many young players screwing around and living in a fantasy world with no accountability for their bad play night after night. To sum it up the Buffalo Sabres management coddles these players many of them need to go to break up that frat house and fire Don Granato that created that and tolerate that. Don Granato should never have been hired to begin with he was the assistant coach to Ralph Krueger. Too expect a different outcome was very naive. Too many Buffalo Sabres fans put too much hope in Don Granato in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
I agree DG may be past his usefulness of developing young guys... yes a few really young guys need developing but overall Sabres young vets need a coach who can light a fire... still need a good coach in Rochester... grab Peca back replace Matty Ellis and hire a head coach who can call them out... add a couple of skilled grinders with some angst... lose Skinner however.

Peterson is great but unless its Skinner going back and draft pics not sure that is what Sabres need...

Sabres are not physical enough to be a playoff team, dont have enough nasty to go with skill players... they need a Killorn type guy... hoping they draft lingren in 1st and sign someone... need a Barnaby and a Peca type.

So I had a cancer relapse scare the last 2+ weeks... some inflammatory cells came out in my urine... for those who dont know almost 5 years ago I had a stage 3 tumor removed from my bladder and I get checked every 3 months because bladder cancer has a nasty habit of recurring... however all my biopsies came back negative including kidneys... Thank God

I’m still holding out hope for this summer.
Yes — I think the spread between Tkachuk and Mitts is about the same as the spread between Malkin and Roy, and that the 2 proposed trades are equally delusional.
Would love to see a Tkachuk Mitts combo on the same line!

UPL is still only 24 and about to turn 25 in March which is still young for a goaltender- hasn’t even reached his peak potential. I hope the physical leg work he did in the off season will be shared with Levi. And that he continues with that work ethic. After that it was just a matter of confidence.
Happy to see him performing so well. But great to see this after he had been trashed over and over as “never going to be a good goaltender.” But armchair experts. Just goes to show none of us know what potential is in a player when they are still young.
In 17 starts since December 23, UPL has given up 4 goals once, 3 goals 3 times, and 2 or less the other 13. Impressive.
Hope brings TT along... he needs get back to it or whatever he was doing before his child was born.

Sabres need to win like 10 more in a row to be in the mix bah haaa... ps my wife is trying to figure stats for nurses calculating z scores and p values testing the null hypothesis while cussing incessantly.... im thinking she could do it for the Sabres chances for missing the playoffs... the null hypothesis is them making the playoffs.
PS then we could all cuss along with her...

Tage is depending on others to create much of his good chances whereas last year it was more evenly split... Since his injury he seems to have lost leg strength and speed getting knocked off his pins way too often

Hard with young defenseman to guage toughness... Dahlin got tougher after a few years, Bryson too though still a 5-6 but really good skater, Joker's shot one of the few really good from the point and his D is much better... Im ok with bringing in a tough big youngish vet but has to be able to skate... not a lot out there.. check Calgary... maybe Tanev?

Gorgeous area for canoeing.
Parry Sound has hundreds of cottages on islands, many of them owned by American families that have been going there for a long time. I haven’t spent much leisure time there but have worked many storms restoring power to the islands via submarine cable.
My folks sold there's in 2004... just resold for just under 1 mil... I miss it but live too far. Up near Franklin Island across from Adanac... great view of Minks and McKoy Islands from our front porch.

Watched him play 4 years in North Bay. Big frame, good hands but struggled with skating. 61 goals in 68 games his last year of junior but had to go the ECHL the next year.
Has worked his way up and stayed with it, nice to see. He grew up two hours north of here.
Whoa didnt know you were in North Bay area... did a bunch of canoeing north of there as a teenager... spent my summers on Georgian Bay at folks cottage half hour north of Parry Sound

As the Sabres gear up for golf season they travel to Tampa Fla to peruse the latest in golf technology... on tap is a virtual tour of a hole in one... and how to properly execute a golf clap... Tage Thompson predicted will sprain a glute during the clap and KO will fall asleep during hole in one... Dg will exclaim the team is putting in effort just not executing... Jeff Skinner resumes his training for senior Olympics figure skating... while Dahlin shakes is head and throws up his arms in frustration. Finally a tour of assisted living facilities are on tap for all Sabres personnel.
