Good point. Maybe someone should go to Cabo with them and help them select the right things to eat. Or make them carry their luggage instead of rolling it.

Steaks, eggs, lots of bread... maybe even introduce them to Chefs or a cop in a donut line... at this age these boys  burn calories just thinking about skating... oh and Haagan-Daez ice cream

  2. With addition of Byrum the sabres are stacked at D even in pipeline... they have some talent at forward but nothing that is anything but hurry up and wait and see...

With Muel coming back I could see Sabres trading one of the D for a forward... maybe Joker... makes sense... also which 3rd line tough with some skill might be a FA... Mitts? Havent looked at who is avail... I still say Sabres are a couple forwards away...

I agree that the "never played in the NHL" factor isn't particularly probative, but the more important point here is that Mitts' comment again illustrates that the Sabres are not well coached.

That is not correct... he is a technical teacher and developer... what he is learning on the fly is being a motivated hard nose bench coach... can he get there? He has had a few moments but I am not sure he has it in him to take it to the next level and I think that is what we see.

It was a very good hockey trade for both teams. Mitts fills a need for them. BB fills a need for us. They made another move to find a short term replacement for Byram.

Bo has solidified a true top pairing for the Sabres and dropped Joker down to solidify the 2nd pair with Power.

Hate agreeing with above because I miss Mitts... but Byrum makes Sabres better and Mitts was a sure need for AVS

  5. Oh agree when i say grit,  i want someone smart at hockey, yes hits with a purpose, retrieves pucks, but also goes to the net and grinds with skill and doesnt stop reading and skating... one of the things I like about Bryson is that he has shown some of that at times and now need to find a shot... I think the current D group is going to be great but may need a third/fourth liner to be an trouble maker... Power reminds me a bit of a young Tyler Myers... gonna take some time but his skating and stick is elite just needs strength and taught how to clear the net.
