You know, with all of the griping and whining that some people are doing about coaching and play calling and who needs to get sacked, I’m left wondering if some of you guys are getting your résumés ready to take their places should any or all of them be let go.

Did it hurt to lose the game? Absolutely! Should any of them get sacked? Absolutely not! There is no way I could ever do their job, and I don’t think any of us could do it either. Having said that, given how people have said that this was one of the greatest football games ever, I’m left with the impression that this is comparable to Bobby Fischer vs. Boris Spassky in 1972.

So, dammit, they’re still my team, and I could not be more than proud of them!

I couldnt do their job. But I would have called for a kickoff in the field of play to burn some time. And I wouldnt have played extreme prevent defense when the other team needs to gain only 35 yards and has 3 time outs. And I think most of the reasonably knowledgeable football fans would have done the same.

I dont think we should sack the coaches...But..it is really disturbing what just happened 5 days ago. --This wasnt a missed field goal or a bad call on a throwback.

So who do we want to coach the Bills next? Ralph Krueger?

I want McD back. He is a glaringly bad time mgr and has some serious brainfarts like the historic ones on Sunday. But he is a really good guy and he is a tremendous motivator and the players love him..or at least they used to,.

Now the Coordinators are very good as well. Frazier overall did a nice job this yr.

We need an experienced(not too experienced like early dementia stuff) guy to be our assistant head Coach.  A guy who can 'manage' critical decisions during a bills game. Consult with McD..Tell him NOT to blow this second half timeout just for the hell of it And dont play prevent D on a team with 3 timeouts remaining and 3 points behind. etc etc etc. A guy betw 55 and 73 who doesnt like the lime light  but was a trusted assistant  in a great organization.

Congrats on a great season to McD Frazier and Daboll.

It's been 3 days and they haven't fired Leslie Frasier, guess they aren't serious about winning.

    hehe..and McD as well .

"I wish our execution was better"   and we wish you would just admit that you blew it. We would have much more respect for you for that.

I’m not defending anything the Bills did. I’m just pointing out that gaining 35 yards in two plays isn’t exactly balancing three eggs on top of one another.

we made gaining that 35 yards as easy as possible

  5. I think we will all try to explain away the unexplainable . That was brain freeze out on the field Sunday.

And the faster everyone gets over it the better.

I do not trust pegula to fix the in the clutch coaching.Hope he has no say in it.

Is it? 13 seconds is three plays. You have two plays, that can go anywhere in the field, to gain 35 yards with Mahomes, Hill, and Kelce.

I don’t think that’s as hard as you think.

especially when you dont pressure a great QB and you give them tons of room underneath. We sure made it easy on them.

Daboll has His Second Interview with the Giants today or tomorrow.

Allen hinted in an interview today that Ken Dorsey is His Preference as replacement OC

IIRC During the WC Card at Houston, Allen’s First Playoff Game, the Bills Defense had Houston in a 3 and 17; during the final drive, the Bills deployed a similar defense and Houston got the First Down.

Mahomes, Kelce and Hill exerted Their Will against the Bills Defense yesterday, but as Joe Buscaglia of the Athletic put, the Final 13 Second Defense was set up as if The Chiefs had no timeouts and the Bills were leading by more than three.
Doing that on two consecutive plays is concerning.

So concerning that we really have to wonder if Frazier was having some kind of a panic attack or other physical problem when play was going on. a Junior League coach knows better.

the last time i felt like that was game 7 vs Hurricanes.  leading 2-1 going into the 3rd. Just knowing if they can hold on there would be a clear path (edmonton) to a Stanley Cup.

Still gutted today, especially for Josh. What more could the kid do? has to be disappointing to know the Defensive coaches crumbled at the worst time

In addition to the EZONE kickoff you run the extreme preevent D vs one of the the best QBs(brady, rodgers, josh, burrow) in a situation where u only need a FG.

So it was many mistakes condensed into a small amt of time.

If I were the head coach i would have suggested a high soft kickoff to around the 10. Where was McD in that situation?? Was he just in a daze--assuming that Frazier would not make a stupid stupid decision?

that is the elephant in the room..

I like McD as a great motivator and a guy who gives it all. He really needs to wise up though.Improve with clock mgmt and oversight of the coordinators.

I love McD, but it has to be said:  a Belichick team would never, EVER have played super-soft D on Hill and Kelce and given them those huge cushions with 13 seconds left.

Given how well KC was playing, it might not have mattered, but that and the kickoff were possibly catastrophically poor heat-of-the-moment decision making.

    right on the money nfreeman

We have been here before. Playoff disappointments with this team.

Wide Right, Music City Miracle and now

    :13 seconds in Kansas City

Its okay the sun will rise tomorrow morning and we will all go back to our little lives and wait for next season

Yes. I kinda prepared myself for something awful to happen in that game. Even with 13 sec left I assumed KC would tie it. It shouldnt be that way.

But we arent a smart enough team yet. Something awful would have happened if we got to the SB to rival wideright.

    Yes!, he'll YES!!!

I swear, I know our d line isn't a pressure line with consistency, with everything that is good and right in this world, what in the tarnation was McDermott thinking? That's just straight out criminal....and I mean that. Josh and the offense should file robbery charges, their own coach just mugged them of that win, imho.

Scotty...take a deep breath and let it go.Thats what Im doing.

  13. Looking at this honestly...The Bills are spectacular on offense when daboll doesnt screw it up. he needed to keep the TE in to block because obviously their LDE was getting in every time.

Our D is pretty good but we get very little pressure. And we need more bulk.

This team was a very 11-6ish team. ... We still need to improve ..

When we are out there I just dont think we are usually the smarter team.

It's how I deal -- how do we get better?  It keeps me from getting depressed and channels my irritation at parts of the game into something constructive.

OK...We need more beef on the d line.  We need to not get rid of beasely(our WRs are excellent--and deep). We need better coaching.Daboll is like mad Mike Martz in one way and like Mr Rogers the next series. Coach Frazier doesnt have a ton of talent to work with--and generally does a decent job...But it wouldnt hurt to have a solid d coordinator who doesnt run a prevent d  w 13 sec left. Thats a choke.Dont really trust the guy now.

OK...We need a real MLB. Our present guy is completely out of half the plays.

Disappointed, not surprised.  The #1 defense has to be able to produce more stops than they did tonight.

Yep. The Bills have a good defense. Level B. We pad the stats on lousy opponents but we cant make any bigtime stops.

Frazier is a pretty good d coordinator. But tonite was in excusable in that lasy 13 seconds.

What do we need to do to improve next year?  I want to be more physical in the trenches so that we don't lose clearly winnable games next year, whence this game is at home next year.

    too soon.

Nothing.  He's led the Bills to four playoff appearances in five seasons.  Daboll is probably on his way to the Giants or elsewhere.  A new offensive signal caller would be a step in the right direction, I think.

I agree. McDermott is a good leader and motivator. Now he has to learn to get rid of stupid O and D coordinators. That was the most amateurish handling of the last few seconds of reg time i have ever seen

Looking at who's left, are the Chiefs the favorites to win it all now?

I think the chiefs will get beat by either LA or SF....unless garafalo does some stupid stuff

You want to win the Super Bowl players need to step up and make plays. I said it early in the season that their defense would be their downfall. No ***** way you let them tie the game with 13 seconds left. It’s like the music city miracle but they tied it instead.

Our prevent defense just prevented us from winning.I know its an old slogan. But its true.
