A player under center is permitted to stop the game clock legally to save time if, immediately upon receiving the snap, he begins a continuous throwing motion and throws the ball directly into the ground.

Thems the rules. They ***** up the snap again. Allen couldn't spike it by rule.

    of course...

Damn fun to watch. He's definitely a player you turn the game on for just to see what he does.  I thought Ben Roethlisburger was similar when he started. He certainly did not have the speed but I seem to recall him barreling through people.

Lets hope Josh can still walk when he is 35. Kelly was throwing like The Tin man(unoiled) for the last few years of his career.

One good thing is that Josh seems to be not overdoing it on the weights..And keeping a reasonable weight(235 is not a lot for a guy 6 5).

Rodgers can still throw late in his career cuz he never got into that muscle man stuff.

Rodgers has ZERO help this year people can think a  Miracle can happen with this wide receiver group but they're all average- bad

And we have a x first pick  Just rotting away on the bench

he looks much more cool on the left

  3. Pittsburgh is a great franchise.Something that the Bills and Bengals can strive for one day. A bad season for them is 8-8 and they are always competitive.Trubisky--a space filler--will still be servicable enough to allow pitt to win 8-10 games. And this is still an off kinda year for them.

21-36 for nearly 200 yards and a TD away at the defending AFC champs, with at least a tie?  Of course he is a legit starter in the NFL.  Not top five or ten, certainly, but a legit starter.

    EDIT:  They won.

of course--but it was a major coaching eff up by cinci.

i put trubisky in there with the fitzys of the world.

hey--but i wish him well and hope he proves me wrong

I'm just going to disagree here. I almost don't want to make a counter-argument, but I suppose I should.

Tom Brady is an exceptional quarterback, I would consider him the best ever. But I would not consider him anything unique. He's accomplished unique things but much of that is related to the team around him, his coach, and other factors.

Megatron? Perhaps you know something I don't?  He was a great wide receiver, but nothing unique.

Deion Sanders? I'd love to know why.

Barry Sanders - possibly.. but we'll never really know what he could have been.

But then, to say there will never be another is just wrong. First, Josh Allen hasn't accomplished much. He still shows potential. Imagine, we're all giddy about his potential but if you talk about the potential of the Sabres prospects people get all doom and gloom.  Anyway, he's been good, but he's hasn't won anything yet.

And even then.. there will be another like him, perhaps someone even better.

Josh is playing like no other QB I have seen at this point(style-wise)..But you are correct he hasnt accomplished tremendous things yet.--he is awfully fun to watch though:)

A sad end of what could have been a really solid career. However, a lack of foot speed and a 2 way game ended the dream. At least he walks away with a huge pile of Pegula cash.

    I wish him the best.

good skills. not a lot of athletic ability where have we seen that before?

That’s not Baker falling, that’s the rest of the league knowing that the Browns ***** up.

This may be the all time regretville move in Browns history.

Mayfield is a good young QB who needs to grow up a bit.    Good/potentially excellent QBs are a rarity.

Nice work giving CAR a gold plated gift.

His streak was also the longest w/ a single team.  Unger had played for several teams during his career and actually was dressed the night his streak ended but never took to the ice.

and Luce only missed 15 games in 9 yrs as well,...Talk about tough guys on a line. And not dirty players like the Flyers.I used to run into Luce all the time in Williamsville at Clearfield plaza..Tall and Skinny but super wiry.probbly 2 % body fat

Funny. I don't notice that. Maybe I'm too distracted by the game itself.

i agree. stupid video games and rah rah crap ruins the atmosphere of a hard fought game.

Having attended the Sabres game in Tampa last month… can only tell you Tampa opened the gates an hour before the game… and the mood was driven by high energy Techno Music and light show… through the warm ups… ending with the introductions and anthems… Their announcer was youthful, excited, and had the crowd into it… Sound Board was plugged into the game and contributed like an extra man… Very impressive…

sounds horrible. but then again im old.
