  1. So no trades to St.Loius? :)
  2. So in part they might be an additional guarentee to the players perhaps worrited about being a compliance buyout next year after signing their deals this year.
  3. At least Hershey is in the other conference so the Amerks won't face him as much. Also on the Hershey/former Amerks front - looks like they also signed Derek Whitmore.
  4. Guess he decided Miller wasn't going to be traded any time soon. Bill Hoppe ‏@BillHoppeNHL 6m Best of luck to David Leggio w/Washington org. Sabres/Amerks lose a good one.
  5. Red Wings need to dump a contract as they are now over 50. Joe Yerdon ‏@JoeYerdonPHT 25m Report: Cleary re-signs with Detroit for three years http://wp.me/p14QU5-9zWv
  6. David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod 17m Habs announce they've signed F Nick Tarnasky & F Martin St-Pierre to 1-year, 2-way deals, and G Robert Mayer to a 2-year, 2-way deal
  7. It's the NHL - they have their order to do things. It's all about the UFAs right now. After a week or so those evil or progressive GMs, depending on your thinking, with then move over to look at the RFAs.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are way off on the money.
  9. I personally think Sulzer has a bit more upside than many people on this list so I am fine with the signing.
  10. Maybe the Sabres and Caps are working on that trade from the deadline that was rumored. :)
  11. Actually that means the Buffalo zoo was too busy for Horton.
  12. It was very nice of the boys to not let him know that Gerbe will not be on the team. He also said he knows Stafford a bit - so maybe there is hope that Stafford will be traded.
  13. Semantics. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=675349 "Under the provisions of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, each team is allowed two compliance buyouts in the next two seasons, during specific windows of availability, as spelled out by the CBA. The first of these windows opened at 11 p.m. on June 26 and closes at 5 p.m. on July 4. Any player bought out during this window has his salary-cap charge completely wiped clean, but the team must pay two-thirds of the remaining contract across twice the remaining term of the deal. The bought-out players become free agents July 5 and can sign with any team, other than the one that bought out the player."
  14. Minnesota Wild ‏@mnwild 2h BREAKING:#mnwild agrees to terms with D Keith Ballard. Two-year deal will be official with paperwork filing tomorrow: http://ow.ly/mFK8I So it's not official official yet? :)
  15. Can't be until tomorrow at noon.
  16. The official unofficial notice or is that the unofficial official notice?
  17. Went all quiet again so still probably no truth just yet.
  18. The Founding Fathers got together 237 years ago with the hope that someday Joey Chesnut would eat 69 hot dogs on this celebration day.
  19. Looks like the Habs tossed in another year on the contract to get him to sign per the twitter.
  20. Maybe the Habs are picking up the bill.
  21. I don't think he would get either with the Sabres.
  22. I have no issues with Peters. At least he is honest; you know where he stands (at least at that moment. :) )
  23. Chances to move Miller soon seem to be shrinking. The reports out about the Flyers indicate they were looking into Ray Emery and now are exploring Tim Thomas.
  24. Flyers traded some guy who might play hockey to Rangers for some other guy who might play hockey. Philadelphia Flyers ‏@NHLFlyers 8m TRADE NEWS: #Flyers have traded (D) Danny Syvret to the NY Rangers in exchange for (F) Kris Newbury.
  25. Has to be since the odds of a Miller trade are probably reduced a bit. Are you going to be happy with that tandem? Hackett playing 60 games. Not sure Hackett will be happy about being stuck in the AHL.
