We had no part in Armia’s development. and the Tank was an epic mistake.
-
Didn’t we trade for Larsson,... and Armia who? We had nothing to do with his development. We Tanked and it forced us to shove guy into roles they weren’t ready for.

My good friend lost his mom today to Covid. He’s now under quarantine and I won’t see him for two weeks. Anyone who still thinks this isn’t real can walk backward through a field of d***s.
-
I thought the 1 game suspension was just right. He didn’t target the head but it was the first point of contact. I thought this game was boring, and that it was Vegas’ fault. They didn’t bring much.

Something isn’t right with this.
-
I’m confused.

Boo f’n hoo. Win and give me a reason to be positive. That’s his job. He also said that he played behind “arguably one of the worst defenses in the league” while he was here (we were top 10 in shots against his three years here). Typical addict deflection BS. Never their fault. What’s next? It’s my fault the Sabres suck because I keep supporting the team? ...I’ve grown to hate this time of year (NHL playoffs)...

I did say professionally. And Robin doesn’t care what I think. “But Buffalo is not easy to play in. The media is incredibly hard. I’ve been in that negative spiral. I’ve been caught in it for a couple of years. It’s really tough and you start to lose perspective. I’ve moved on. I don’t care what anyone in Buffalo says anymore. Maybe that negative spiral would have been easier to deal with without the pills and alcohol. He quit on us. He can pound sand.
-
Why? He didn’t care about us when he was here. Why should I care about him now that he is gone? Addicts need to pay their own dues.
-
Who cares? He was here. He chose himself over his team. ***** him. I wish him no good will professionally.
-
***** Lehner. He owes Buffalo an apology.

Watching Kiviranta’s postgame interview was awesome. I really think he was trying not to cry.
-
I love the demonic audio once players start swearing.
-
He also drops his stick as often as Hasek did.

This game is ***** great!

What a great camera shot of the puck sitting on the dasher!

I should also point out that I don’t have an advanced stats team tracking my results. I really wish I did, cuz just because I prefer my proper hand on D, doesn’t mean I’m better at it. I might be way better offhand,... it’s just not as much fun so I don’t care.😀
-
I’ll just say that playing D, I’d rather be on my proper hand. As a forward, I absolutely prefer my off hand. I wonder if NHLers are often put in position they might not prefer because, “well, that’s the way we do it.”
-
So, just some more food for thought. I’ve seen those handedness/effectiveness charts, but you even said that if they are playing their off hand, it’s usually the lower pairings. Wouldn’t that mean that teams don’t have a guy good enough so they stick someone in to that position who is already not that good? Doesn’t seem like those numbers are all that scientifically reliable.
-
Again, my point is that just because these players have learned to play this way since the time they were ten yo doesn’t mean that their handedness is the reason they are better at it. It just means they’ve practiced longer at in. Start an off handed D from ten years old and maybe he is just as good at it and maybe brings something else that we don’t know about. Me, too. Not sure that is true in the NHL i love these discussions. I always learn something.

I’m not trying to be a dick here. But how many times, when you are facing forward, Is your play the backhand? I think you are way more likely to send the puck behind the net to your partner than you are to start a breakout from the wall. And even then, I’d rather be on my off hand.
-
And yet how many times have you protected the puck from the forward along the half boards and had to center the puck for the breakout on your backhand? I think the are pros and cons to both, and correlation is not causation. Just because kids have learned to play that way since they were ten doesn’t mean that their handedness is the reason they are better at It.
-
I know that they prioritize it on D. And they most likely do from the time they are kids playing D. Just because they have practiced it for years doesn’t mean it is the reason they are better on their “proper” hand. I still think it doesn’t matter and I bet there is a study or two that proves it.

I’m choosing to stay awake. I don’t want to laugh at Belichick’s Subway commercial,... but it’s funny.

F’n love it!
