I didn’t see that when everyone here was saying those things, and I didn’t see it when the intermission guys were saying that. And I still don’t see the domination that everyone is talking about. I mean, unless their game-plan is to just get as many perimeter shots as possible and hope for a flukey goal? Same with the Chi game.

I somewhat agree with this post. We are pretty much getting the season that we were expecting, so far. I’m not sure if I ever actually believed that we were going to make the playoffs, but if i did (as I’m sure others did as well) it would have been because of an everything went right scenario (Comrie was a true #1, all the kids progressed to their ceilings early, maybe a unicorn or two). Alas, not to be, and we are most likely looking at another record setting tally on the playoff drought big board. I thought I was ready for it. I really did. But to see it actually happen is way more brutal than I expected. When you lose assets and get nothing in return, it puts you in a hole that can take a couple of seasons to climb out of. It happened with Hasek, and it absolutely happened when those two left. It is what led to the Sabres deciding that they wanted to make the whole even deeper, and here we are 12 years later. It’s definitely not the entire reason, but it is a pretty substantial part of a rich tapestry of suck.

They were terrible against the Habs, and for 5/6ths of the Chicago game too.

Sabres are better on the road. Maybe next year they should hold off on that west coast “bonding” trip until later in the season and actually learn how to be a team at home.

We were the fourth winningest franchise until Terry took over. I think it was best thing that could have happened to them. They needed to be woken up because since the strong start, they have played like a bunch of ten-ply soft p———-.

Tonight’s game shows us how much we could have used someone like Eichel. Will Bedard by that guy?

Devon Levi. It’s pretty obvious that this is yet another “it’s not a tank” tank year, and that they are just waiting for him.

I thought there was a lot of talk about that at the beginning of the season, and that it does. As to the “trap game”, I think the only trap was that of this five game stretch, we got sucked into believing that last night was the only one they were going to win.

Unfortunately, it is not only a one game sample at this point. Possession is not control (teehee). Especially if the other team is letting it happen because it is not dangerous to them.

We only outshot them 33 to 24. Not exactly a shooting gallery. And we were down 2 in the third, so that kinda makes even more sense. Bottom line, the Sabres didn’t deserve to win that game,… and they didn’t. And I don’t ever need to hear about luck ever again.

When did the Sabres ever control that game? When their forwards were swallowed up the the D of Arizona and they were held to the outside and couldn’t get any dangerous chances. At any point in that game, did you really ever feel like they were going to score and win? I never did. Every pass was contested,… again, and they telegraphed everything. Luck is the mating call of the loser. And I don’t take losses hard, I was fine with the Florida, Carolina, and Tampa losses. They looked like they were trying in those. They looked bad tonight. I take bad losses hard. I hope they do too.

No way. Not until we are knocked out of the playoffs.😂
