This move smells like another excuse for a bottom 5 finish to me.

I hate that that's my immediate thought but it is.

Realistically, the Sabres aren't going to make the playoffs without a really improbable run (like 12 wins in a row and then still being better than they've shown so far). If this is one of those, "you'll be fully healed by the fall things" then might as well.

And, of course, the actual list is behind a pay wall.  Lol

He only got 2% of the vote.  Seems there are a TON of punchable faces in the league.

It's probably rivalry-weighted too; I doubt teams in the west are singling out Skinner as the one vote so there's a spread on players. I assume a Sabres player would pick someone on Toronto and Ottawa (or at least they play a few times a year) due to "familiarity breeds contempt".

All beer gives you the shits.  Just like eating Taco Bell doesn’t immediately make me duece.  These weird tropes that exist is folklore, people just perpetuate them do no good reason.

As someone who spent a decade plus drinking 10+ beers a night, every morning, regardless of brand was an ugly scene in the bathroom.  I don’t know if there is something in Cream Ale that affects certain people but I’ve never thought, wow my poops are way different and worth calling a special name after I drink this type of beer.

I honestly found a repeatable difference in the after-effects of even moderate doses Genny Cream vs the other beers I was drinking at the time. I was drinking craft beer, however, so it's possible that other beer that comes in 30-packs would have the same effect, but I didn't really drink those regularly. I seem to remember it giving an out-sized headache compared to other beers too, but Yuenling and Sam Adams Boston Lager do the same thing to me. 2-3 of those and I'd be hurting the next morning, where other beers I could drink more and be fine.

This is the end of my Ted talk.

  4. 7-4 is only like 0.8 points above safe playoff pace, so I'm not surprised they didn't gain any ground. Now, if they'd have gone 11-0, we'd be talking. Or 9-2 and then 7-2 over 20 games. The Sabres are very much in "need to be one of the the best teams in hockey for the rest of the season" territory with the start they got.

Until the end of the season, watching the other teams doesn't really matter much. There are plenty of teams hovering around the same place, just take care of your own games and the standings will come. The Sabres are not taking care of their games.

It doesn’t work like that. It’s a game of strategy not blackjack. Look how many times Brady beat us.

I get you, I really do, but the Bills and Chiefs aren't nearly as far apart as the Lost-in-the-woods Bills and probably the best NFL team in recent history. Even then, the Bills won 3 games against Brady.

Even as it is, the Bills have been down to a play either way with the Chiefs in two of the three recent playoff games. That's strongly into a lucky bounce changes everything territory.

The Bills don’t have the dawgs or the coaching to even sniff the SB.  Proven overwhelmingly now. All they have is a superstar qb with no real supporting cast that contending teams have. We could play KC 10 times in the playoffs and we won’t win once. JA with Andy Reid would have 2 championships by now. Instead, Philip Rivers career is his likely comp.

Come now, the Bills would go at least 3 for 10 just on luck.

Here is an unpopular opinion but one that needs to be thought about

would it have been better for the Bills long term to have not recovered from being 6-6 and miss the playoffs?

now I feel like there is a high chance they are just gonna blame injuries , short week , ect....

rather than look at it as 0-3 in playoffs vs Reid.   A year after Taylor schooled McDermott
this is the same coach that brought us 12 men, 13 seconds, a myriad of time out botches and the inability to close out numerous games with the lead and less than 2 mins to go

This occurred to me too. "Look how good they finished the season!" "If not for those injuries on D!" "The kicker had a bad day!". All true, but all cover up that I don't think any of us are confident that in a close game, McDermot is going to out-coach the opposition, or even be an average coach.

<angry typing noises> oh wait ... that pretty much makes sense. The one counter-point I would have is that Mitts has clearly gotten better - he has obviously been able to put in the work and still host some bangin' COD parties (I started to type LAN party because I am not young, but remembered that is no longer a thing.)

    data center network GIF

(My first LAN parties were before we had cat5, 10base-2 was a nightmare)

This actually happened. It wasn't made up.  It's a real story. I don't think it's propaganda and I don't think it's cutting the segment short to fit into a TV show. NBC editing it out and getting exposed shows the type of decisions that a TV network makes covering a sporting event or maybe a news story. The story was covered by a number of different outlets, not just the Gateway Pundit. If you don't like the source I posted, choose any of these other ones: https://news.google.com/search?q=c.j. stroud jesus&hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

No one is arguing it didn't happen. The only argument is whether it's a nefarious plot against the Lord and Savior, or a couple of editing peons saying, "let's cut this 8 seconds of not answering the question". The viewer's preconceptions of the world will determine which option rings true to them (and how much it matters).

You forget that we are old. We remember the days of big 40 cup coffee percolators that you filled with water and the grounds were up top. The water would bubble up over and over (and you would see it gurgling through the clear lid handle) eventually becoming strong coffee.

I read somewhere that percolators are having a bit of a renaissance. I wouldn't know, coffee just makes my body hate me.

ESPN is silly. This morning, every coach that lost this weekend may/should be fired. Winning teams get 10 minutes out of the hour. Failures get 50 minutes.

Blow it up ! Start over !  Look at us yell !

All the winners get hours of coverage over the next week. Let the losing fans sulk for a day and then hear nothing until August.

Packers have more playoffs wins at AT&T stadium than the Cowboys do

I so want this to be true, but I don't think it is. I looks like the Cowboys won there in 2010 (Eagles), 2015 (Lions), and 2019 (Seahawks), and the Packers won in 2017 and 2024. The Cowboys did lose to the Packers in 2015, but it was in GB.
