I haven't been on the bike in a month; I can usually eke out a couple rides in December, January, and March. I've only ridden once in February, and I saw some flurries on the way home.
Also, I gained 5 pounds in the last two days. Xmas party and pot-luck on consecutive days not good.

Sharks went to a shootout last night against the Flyers, hopefully they're a little tired out tonite. At this point the Sabres need all the help they can get.
SJ also came back from 4-1 in the latter half of the third. Don't know if that means let down or momentum.

I was suprised when I read through this thread today that no one mentioned it. When they didn't immediately call the goal I thought they were calling the goaltender interference at first. I only saw it live and the one replay (and the NHL.com highlight sucks), but I thought I saw a bump each time. If he did make contact inside the crease, yes, I do want that goal waived off every time. It's not like Miller was a foot outside of the blue ice like he tends to be sometimes.
Search for 'NHLvideo' on youtube, they have several looks at it.

I will face the puck.
It will not pass over me or through me.
And when I cannot see I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

I might have to use that one when my boss gripes about them again.
You best not, do you really think the execs can get a router working in 10 minutes? :)
-
But (of course), it's not my only complaint...why is it that execs in my organization (or most orgs for that matter) don't understand that you can't just drop a piece of gear in a data center and expect it to work 10 minutes later?
Because it only took them that long to get their plug-and-play home wifi router to work; how hard can it be? (Feeling your pain)

Oh, and while we're at it, I'm pissed that I bought an iPad a few days ago. It just doesn't do very much that an iPod touch can't do. But at least Apple will let me return it (which I will).
They should have just advertised it as, "iPod Touch: now in inconvienet size!"
Complaint: girlfriend (up in Buffalo) gets a snow day, and I'm at work. Oh, and I still haven't lost the weight I put on eating turkey, wings, pizza, and beer last weekend.

Not quite as close, because the tie-breakers favor regulation win points over accumulated OTL/SOL points -- and if the Sabres manage to get their act together and get into the playoff race, it's quite likely that the tie-breakers will play a role. Also, to be sure, the Sabres have finished a game as losers 16 times. But your point is fair nevertheless.
That's certainly true.
-
The season is now 31% over. The Sabres have 9 wins and 16 losses.
13 losses. The numbers are bad enough that you don't have to stretch the truth. And before you say, 'But the OTL/SO losses are losses!', they're just as close to a win as a loss (in terms of points). If you like, 10.5 wins and 14.5 losses. :)

As of last night, I am seeing the same thing you are. No feed for the basic CI channels (770+). However, I am in the Crapitals local market, so I get the game on Comcast Sports (629 or so) but only in SD. They have NBA on the HD channel. GRRRRRRRR!!!
Look around on other HD channels. Up here on Philly Comcast, there's a second channel (TCN) that'll often have the Flyers on if something is tying up the normal Comcast Sports Network channel (Sixers, Philles, etc.).

He had one year of 80 points which put him in 7th spot for his position. He hasnt been in the top 10 for his position since or before. He had a good contract year for sure.
Pomminstein's primary value isn't only in points. Can the 6 above him play any defence or are they all Kovalchuks? (I don't really know)
His salary isn't in the way of anything right now so my panties aren't in a bunch (prolly cause I'm not wearing any).
Heh, nicely done.

It seems like I can have some liquor at night night and still lose a little weight, but not beer. I much prefer beer. :(

Anybody have a rake? Mine just busted. Why can't all this wind take the leaves out of the yard instead of blowing them into it?
Wait, I thought you were a college student (maybe grad) and you have a yard to rake?

Firefox for PC (I'm at work) and continual updates. What, I'm on version 3.12.6.7.g.2.gamma.7.2.stafford now? Great. That's a big improvement over version 3.12.6.7.g.2.gamma.7.2.connolly. I'm sure I'll notice the improvement.
How about we get it right the first or second time?
If you wait to test everything and it be perfect, you might get pwn'd while you wait for the update. See post above about Malware.

Let me see this worked last game when I ripped em.
Playing Stanley cup runner up, chance to show us what teams for real, I expect the Flyer's to play big while buffalo plays small(gerbe nets one tonight),
Miller keeps it close but the curse of the uneven eyebrow disease takes another game toll, they lose 3-2 in OT. But they had their chances.
Laviolette apparently was *P'd-O* post-game last night. That means they'll either be demoralized or come out flying (no pun intended).

That is pretty cold. Although, there is a good chance that it would be worth the trip to watch me trip over a bunch of 6 year olds.
Hmm, Mechanicsburg is only 2 hours from my house...

I'd like to congratulate the SabreSpace posters on this grand day.
Complaint Thursday has reached 100 pages in length.
To think, only yesterday it barely could roll over, now it's walking upright, taking names.
It's 200 on my view, that's even better. :)
-
Sounds like a good time for "Road Trip".
Wow, I read this and thought it was in reference to Pebble's referee debut in Pennsyltuckey. That's cold. :)

I'm looking at a file with 184,857 lines of height/weight/BMI entries that is a real mess and needs to be cleaned. Sometimes weights are listed as pounds, other times they're kg. Then the actual measurements are listed in different columns throughout the file. It looks like the only way to accurately clean this file up is to do it by hand. I'm going to need some beer tonight.
I'm betting something with regular expression skillz (not me, I only know basics) could make it work.

What's German for off the shnide?
Prolly "Off der' shnide."
Offen der schnide, herr Ruff?
-
It's only because it's cheap. But then again, I stick to my booze.
I should have taken a screen-shot: a few years ago, a bar in Old City Philly had their beer menu online, which listed Genny Cream Ale for $5.50. PER CAN!! Stupid hipsters.
-
No they do not. Which is why I stick to my dive bars and stay out of their classy establishments.
Man, are you going to be mad when your dive bars become hipster hang-outs. :)

The friend I'm talking about is the guy I really don't want to be around either. So I won't expose anyone to that unless absolutely necessary.
And your complaint sounds a lot like me over the last 2 weeks. It's a blast, isn't it?
yeah, a blast. Monday I took a really nice route from Binghamton to Philly (7 hours, all back roads), but it's been downhill since then.

I always cringe at the thought of a girl meeting certain friends of mine. One in particular always goes out of his way to make things awkward. There are at least two stories of people walking out after meeting him.
I call it "dating by fire". I introduce all my friends fairly early on. If she can't handle them, so be it. It's just going to cause drama down the line if she doesn't like them. (I can't believe you hang out with that guy, etc, etc,) For that matter, we discuss 'big' things right away too. There's no point dating someone that does/doesn't want to get married, kids, move, motorcycle, etc. It's something of a low-key speed-dating approach.
Complaint: I've been in a funk all week. No energy, no time, no motivation.
