Does he have any big time movie role that didn’t die?
Not a movie role, but what could be bigger than playing himself in Arrested Development?

Bingo!!! I rarely dip my wings in the blue cheese. But I use the Celery as a shovel for the blue cheese. And it is very soothing.
Yes, the celery is to the blue cheese what the cigarette is to the nicotine. It's the delivery device.

@Taro T I think the last truly fun deadline day was with Regier running the show. And even then, the last with hime were sellers.
That's probably correct.
Doesn't mean we can't pine for better. (But this year am not going to do so. #### 'em. Not losing an entire day of productivity watching Jordan Greenway end up the prize at the bottom of the Cracker Jack box.)

Doubtful. He's done nothing worth firing him for.
Other than he's done nothing.
Terry probably likes the slow play *****.
Still expect that Adams gets at least 2 more years (maybe if things really go off the rails next year that could be it for him) and that Granato gets at least 1 more year. (Though if Brind'amour truly were to be open to walking away from the Canes, Adams should be on top of that like white on rice.)
And Adams has said repeatedly that he won't sacrifice the future for ST benefits.
So, am expecting very little leading to and at this trade deadline. Unless the possibility of forcing their way back into the playoff picture has happened or looks likely by the deadline, the Sabres will sell some of the impending UFAs. Whether it becomes a wholesale dumping of them remains to be seen and will be very dependent upon them still hovering around an NHL 0.500.
Do expect a couple of trades bringing in lower end guys for cheap much like the Stillman and Greenway trades last year. But just not seeing the blockbuster as it sure seems like Adams still believes in his guys and expect he chalks much of the nonmeeting of expectations on the injuries they've suffered.
Trade deadline day used to be so fun and lately its just a big disappointment. Well, this year there are no expectations of anything fun happening, so it by definition CAN'T be a disappointment. So, take THAT Mr. Adams. You can't ruin trade deadline day because it's already reeking of a 2 week old whale carcass. And should you find a way to either sell some of the rotting blubber for something good or accidentally blow up half the beach trying to move it back out to sea, well either will be entertaining but neither is expected.

Hell no. Ranch is for dipping chips or veggies, not wings.
Wadr, no, THAT is what the blue cheese is for. Wings do not need blue cheese on them.
And, can't really come up with anything that needs ranch on it. (At least not a straight ranch. When real dressings aren't available, a peppercorn ranch dressing is acceptable for a salad, though it still isn't necessarily a first choice.)

3rd death of a friend or sibling of a friend in just over one week.
1 from a battle with cancer. 1 from an illness. And one from complications from a fall. Hopefully that's it for a while.

Check out the latest Sabres prospects tonight on AHLTV. Someone mentioned there was a free trial, unsure if that is still a thing. Everyone is aware of Rosen and Kulich but a couple new kids on the block are turning heads. Neuchev & Novikov have been noticeable. Viktor Neuchev has been scoring at a PPG pace since Kulich left for WJC, Novikov has been steadily improving and receiving more ice time.
The AHL.tv freebie was only Saturday and ONLY for watching the games live. (Had not caught that last part as was planning on watching the Amerks after the Sabres and Bandits games. Oops.)

I just don't see a VO bringing back a #4 defenseman. Unless you include a high-end prospect such as Kulich, it is unlikely to get back a #4 d-man. As I said in another post, I would prefer getting a Clifton caliber player in the offseason (free agent who cost us nothing) and move Ryan Johnson up as one of the support defenseman for either of the top two pairings.
Love Johnson, and he'll likely be a fixture in the top 4 LT. But, can we PLEASE stop projecting 2nd year D into major roles? Let him be 1/2 of the 3rd pairing next year and look like an absolute stud rather than force him higher into the lineup than he's likely ready for.
Plus, it would be really a nice change to give Power a partner that can help cover his young D-man mistakes rather than the other way round. These kids have to cover for F mistakes often enough; cut them some slack.

Red flags all over that.
There are.
But am curious how good his English is. Being interviewed when upset and in a language that isn't your 1st is a recipe for giving a "good" quote to the reporter.

He couldn't put any weight on it, it's either the achilles or a broken bone after looking up options, usually.
But on the broadcast they said he DID put weight on it once he got to the tunnel.
If a lateral ligament in the knee was injured, he may not have wanted the skate on the ice because any twisting of the knee would've been excruciating but straight ahead movement would've been fine. It also could be the ankle. (Your guesses are also valid at this time, too.)

“Disagreeing” with a question (how?) isn’t answering it.
I really hope it’s not a serious injury.
Always have viewed the green check mark as a "yes" and the red X as a "no."
If they are viewed in that light, they are FAR more flexible and useful. Because 'yes' can also be a very brief 'agree with you here' and 'no' can also be a very brief 'nope, we are in disagreement.'

i would prefer people want to come here because it's the Sabres, not because it's closer to home. If they want to win, they won't come here.
People said that about the Bills too. And it was true for about 18 or 19 years. But it isn't true anymore.
Get the team to start winning (making the playoffs and actually winning at least a round) and players will want to be in Buffalo again. Until they start winning again, no, most players will not want to be in Buffalo.

Levi can get games in the AHL on loan. He doesn't have to be sent down. Just as long as he's on the Amerks roster on trade deadline day.
He can. And he will be on the Amerks roster on deadline day (whether he's actually there or it's just a paper transaction remains to be seen).
Personally would probably have him taxiing back and forth getting a couple of days in Buffalo each week facing the tougher shooters and having access to better equipment, so he can get a game every 4-5 in Buffalo but having him in Ra-cha-cha the bulk of the time. (Which will have everybody on the board mad. 😜 )

You asked a question. The answer to the question was 'No.'
Wtf do you need the answer spelled out in a post, when the reaction allows it to be answered with 2 clicks?
Well, to answer your question, NO we do not know how serious the injury is. Truly doubt the Sabres even know yet as you usually don't do MRIs / ultrasounds until a couple of days later after swelling has gone down.
Happy?

Would you trade Cozens and a protected first? If all the responses are quick yeses, we aren’t offering enough.
Without knowing what they're going to do with Mittelstadt's next contract, that'd be a 'no.'
Knowing Mitts is locked up LT, the answer becomes 'maybe' but still leaning towards 'no.'

Has it ever happened that the two teams that met in the very first game of an NFL season also met in the very last game?
Not QUITE the same as what you're asking, but the Bills hosted the Jints in both teams' 1st preseason games back in '90. (And Jints went 4-0 in the preseason and the Bills went 0-4. Preseason is SO important.)

Is Donnie gonna give him those limited minutes with skilled offensive line mates or scrubs? And if he does give him higher skilled line mates, are those guys also seeing limited minutes as a result?
Not suggesting Kulich get called up, but if he is called up, he probably ends up on one of the 3 offensive lines taking a regular shift but then gets 2 shifts tops in the 3rd if the Sabres have a tight lead.
So, it likely doesn't affect his linemates' ice time at all.

I think Benson's all-around vision, sense, and defensive awareness best replicates Quinn's game. JJP-Cozens-Benson as 2nd line.
My possible counter is if VO is going to be on the ice, put him with Thompson-Skinner and give them 3rd line minutes until they collectively wake up and start attacking the net. (And keep them together on the PP so at least there's a shooter on either side of the ice.)
For the love of all that's good and Holy, PLEASE do not put Thompson and Olofsson on the same PP. You've come up with the best way to ensure the PP is even MORE stationary than it currently is.

He can get three games in before the Sabres are even allowed to practice again.
Why he went down wasn't PTR's Q. Why he shouldn't be brought back up again at any point this season was the Q.

So THIS is why Adams was looking to get Kane in. It wasn't to cover for Quinn's 1st injury, it was for his next injury. 4D chess indeed.

At last year's ASG SC they also held the mascot hockey game after the broadcast was over. It was the best part of the night. The range of skills from some of them being barely able to skate to others being REALLY good at the hockey was surprising. Expected they'd all have at least reasonable skill. Sabretooth was solid last year. The Eastern mascots won last year because Carlson was a brick wall. Looks like both of those are still true this year.
Interestingly (or not) the Rags didn't have a mascot last year and Detroit's mascot is a giant octopus but it isn't a costume (or at least it wasn't), so at last year's game the Eastern Conference was down 2 skaters but still won going away. Didn't pay close enough attention to see if those 2 finally got ones this year but didn't notice them if they were there.
No idea why they couldn't find a way to broadcast these games. They're the best part of the AS weekend.
But how pathetic is it that they had to set up Carlton with a situation that even a Loaf in the 1st round of the playoffs couldn't have not scored on? The game itself is entertaining enough. They don't need to coddle the stinkin' Loaf employees and fans. Pathetic. Pathetic indeed.
