Oops. 0.8s from OT, but ... *choke*.

Does anyone else feel guilty when they Dutch Oven their dog?
Ha, well timed. A friend of mine just posted a pic of his dog looking toward him from under the sheet with some comment about Dutch Ovening it.

What IF and that is a big IF we added Sam Reinhart and Connor McDavid in the next 2 years? The catch being to do so Darcy has to captain the ship down the toilet just like he has been. If it were guaranteed would you do it?
Even if they go 1-80-1 this year and 0-82-0 next year, there would still be a 56% chance that we wouldn't get either player, much less both. In fact, there would only be a 6.25% chance of getting both.

The kid's lucky he doesn't get pounded for doing that during a game.
I'm late to the party...just saw the goal now. The first thing I did was head to the boxscore to see how many fights there were the rest of the game.
Unbelievable. Up 8-2, you have 3 goals, you're 19, and you pull that? I'm sure Torts was smiling.....
I was thinking the same thing when I saw that last goal. He's lucky that they don't play the Rangers again until March.

As much as we're focused on our QB, it sucks to hear that Hoyer is out for the season. He started as the third quarterback, got the chance to start due to injuries and played so well that he took the starting job. Then, wham, it's gone.

Did Drury and Briere do the home/away thing?
Yeah, I believe so.I think it was every other game.
It wasn't consistent. I believe in 2005-06, they went basically every other game, but had specific teams that each always had the "C" against (e.g., Briere vs. Montreal.) In 2006-07, however, I am almost certain that it was road/away during at least the regular season. It's hard to prove, since each took over when the other was out injured.

The co-captain thing doesn't bother me at all, but I think the home/road thing is dumb.
Worked with Drury and Briere. Plus, it's easier on the equipment guys.

Still no captain? Yeesh.
Per Rolston on WGR, they will name the Captain today. The team will be told first, then it will be made public.

What happened when BFLO got the ball back with a minute left? I left the bar right after the Alonso interception.
Bills did three straight drop back three or four stpes to take a couple of seconds off and then take a knee, since they couldn't really run out the clock. The defender decided to take out EJ hard on the the third one, which took care of the 5 seconds that they couldn't run off.

Rogers should have been given air fare to Newark and a plane ticket to his home town.
From what I can tell, the Bills have one blue chip starter in their 22 starters and that is Kiko. 1/22 is pretty sad.
In all fairness, it's 3/22, but two (Byrd and Gilmore) are out injured. Being without those two and then losing McKelvin put Rogers in a position that he simply is not cut out for. How many teams' #3 CB can cover the other team's #1 receiver all game long, especially without their #1 safety supporting?

I believe Paul Hamilton nailed this one on the head. The jersey manufacturer has their logo at the bottom of the jersey, considering the money they pay for the rights to make the jerseys it's understandable that they would want their logo visible. I don't think we have to worry about other logos appearing in the near future.
Except Reebok has their logo ... actually, now "REEBOK" ... above the nameplate, not on the tail like the old CCM/KOHO (etc.) jerseys. There is no Reebok logo down there to hide.

so last year the d.c. team had rg3, cousins, and sexy rexy?
Empire Records reference?

Coho at the 1:02 mark
Coho at 1:00 and 1:24 mark (based on socks and dark helmet.)
Also at 0:30.
His defensive coverage is harder to spot ... since he's out of the frame.

Finish Flash?
Been Teemu's nickname for a long time. He's Finnish and fast, so ...

It's on in the background, but I'm mostly just tooling around the internet.

Combined regular season and playoffs he was amazing.
Fixed for you.

This forum is a much better place with voices like yours and carp around. I just feel the need to say that.
To each his own.
:(
First of all not many here would have given Bergeron any consideration prior to the reports of the injuries he played through.

Pointing out the few positives on a dreadful team while ignoring the glaring problems is.
Yes, but pointing out the few positives while acknowledging the glaring problems is OK, too. A good GM would have to recognize the diamonds in the turd pool, so that he doesn't flush them out with the rest of the crap. It's actually harder to spot the good players on a bad team than it is to spot the bad ones; much like it's hard to spot the bad ones on a good team (i.e., the guys who are being carried.) Both are there. If you're Darcy, you have to know which of your players to keep and which players on the good teams not to pick up. Too often, Deluca gives the impression that both those lists are empty.

Is he gone yet?
Darcy's waiting for the market to be set, so he knows what to add his premium to. (Zing!!)

a never ending supply of the soft skilled Dmen.
In all fairness, Kuilikov does like to hit (84 in 34GP this year and 104 in 58GP last year.) I'm sure GoDD could tell you how many of our defensemen you'd have to add up to get that.
I'm not saying that I wouldn't take Kuilikov; I just agree with inkman that I was/am more interested in what Kassian's and Hodgson's could potentially become than what he could.

I think we should keep Ott for two reasons:
1. He is a natural leader and can hopefully bring out leadership qualities in the kids
2. He is a very hard working player who can serve as a model for Ennis, Grigorenko, and Stafford
Yeah Stafford thrived last year with Ott on the team.
Unfortunately, it will take a lot more than one or two players to set an example for someone like Stafford. You need an established team mentality like the Bruins built before a player like that (e.g., Horton) sees the light. You can have one or two guys who need the example to be set, but they need to be the exception, not the rule. Ott has exactly the blue-color, hardest working team in hockey mentality that this team needs more of. I want him setting the example for years to come, but I also want more of his type brought in. It sounds like Girgensons is that type of player, so that's a start.

I wanted them to give him a shot back in 2010, when he went to Vancouver. Would have been a better third-line center than Hecht (2nd/3rd-line winger) or Gaustad (fourth-line center.) He was having a strong season before he got hit in the eye, even receiving consideration for the Selke trophy (5 1st-place votes, according to Wikipedia.)
