Georgia C/OL Sedrick Van-Pran Granger
What you got @LGR4GM
They said he's powerful, but has short arms, so center-only. Also said he's great at snapping in shotgun, which we know Josh prefers to be in.

I'm confused who's going to be the number 1 guy ? Maybe Kincaid? he's realistically only one I could see passing 900 yards .
While Samuel won't be a #1, he has a chance at 900 receiving yards. He hit 851 in 15 GP his last year a Carolina. He also had 1,051 all-purpose yards that year. Obviously, he was down a bit in Washington (in the 600's receiving the last two years), but now he's got Josh feeding him.

struggles in man coverage vs quick WRs.
They'll put him on Worthy.

Do the Falcons draft a QB here just to be safe?

Who cares about the fans?
I was venting after sitting through four hours of that overly-dragged-out spectacle, just to see him follow up trading with the perennial team-to-beat by not even giving us one shiny new thing to be happy about. Obviously, it shouldn't (and clearly didn't) actually factor into his decisions. Still, somebody in the war room, even Beane himself, had to acknowledge that fans were really going to hate him after that (for the night, anyway.)
Now, we (fans) get to see what he does with it. The results, which won't be seen for a while, are all that really matter. In the moment, at 12-something in the morning, it was a hard pill to swallow.

What does that have to do with last night?
12 minutes ago, LGR4GM said:Has literally nothing to do with the conversation or what happened last night at all.
Lighten up kids; it was a joke.
(As was "kids" here, before anyone takes it personally.)

I'm sorry, I just don't care what the Chiefs do.
Beating the Bills in the playoffs and winning Super Bowls, that's what the Chiefs do. Hard not to care about those. 😉

I literally don’t give two shits about the NFL as people treat this game like it’s the best, it’s not. NHL playoff hockey is a better game, way too many ego’s in the nfl.
Then, get out of the Bills thread. Literally, every other thread is about the NHL. This board is about the NHL. There's one thread for people who also like the NFL, and you feel the need to come in and s**t on it and them? Thanks, I wasn't happy with Beane, but now he doesn't seem so bad.

So funny everyone getting pissed about a small, fast receiver going to Kansas City. I lost most of my interest in the NFL when they got to political. Most of these players are dumb dumb X’s and O’s and everyone treating this boring game like it’s the greatest game!
Literally don't give two s**ts about the little bit of politics that happened a few years back. Hasn't crossed my mind once in a very long time.

It's the 4th round compensatory pick for Edmunds that should have been a 3rd round pick to begin with.
Wow, that somehow makes it feel that much worse.

Pretty much
I didn't necessarily want Worthy, but I definitely did not want the Chiefs to get the fastest WR out there.

So, basically turned a fourth into a third to give KC control of the board when they need WR, too?

With KC
WTF?

Mitchell? McConkey? Worthy? ... trade down?

Well, that's the top four receivers off the board. The first three weren't happening, but #23 seems like it could have been reached. What will Beane do now?
-
I sooooo wanted that Islanders' EN own goal to go in. Following up two goals in nine seconds with that would have put it in the same company as the three-SH-goal Bruins power play a few (er, 14) years ago (Carolina was the victim there.)

Mike Edwards coming Buffalo. That fills one safety slot.

Well, now I assume it's Carpa N Dean, an obscure 60s folk duo.

Back on topic ... Poyer to sign with the Dolphins. So, yeah, that sucks.

Completely unrelated but I spent probably close to 15 years thinking your username was Carpe Dean like a play on Carpe Diem. I won’t lie, when I realized it was Car Pan Dean you went from a mental image of Robin Williams in Dead Poets to my Uncle Bill. Uncle Bill is a knowledgeable hockey fan though so I don’t mean that as a slight.
😆
If it helps, its origin has nothing to do with cars or their pans. Though, you are correct that it also has nothing to do with carpe diem (though, I like the saying.)

Bills (will) sign Nicholas Morrow (LB) from the Eagles. He was the defensive play caller ("green dot") from midway through the season.
Edit: forgot nobody is actually signed yet.

In the rink's cold gleam, where the Sabres took the stage,
The Kings met their match, in a zero-sum cage.
Ukko-Pekka stood tall, a wall in the net,
His fourth season shutout, the best one yet.Rookie Zack Benson, with grace on his skates,
Scored while falling, sealing the Kings' fates.
Jordan Greenway, with vigor and might,
Struck twice, assisted once, in the night's light. The scoreboard told tales of a 7-0 game,
A victory so sweet, it could never be tame.
Buffalo roared, their spirits alight,
For one glorious game, everything was right.(written by GPT-4)

Edit: 2025 4th-round pick.
