  1. I turned on the Knights game and Jack Eichel has touched the puck four times and has given the puck away four times.
  2. So he’s anywhere between 5’ 10” and 6 foot.
  3. Is Lindy Ruff powerless to take away iPads? His big comment is to grumble that his coaching points are questioned? What is it that you get that he saying? Again, if it nearly every player in every sport in every league is doing this, maybe there’s something more to this than 18-year-old playing Angry Birds?
  4. I don’t even know why they play hockey this time of year. According to a variety of people, nobody cares about winning in April.
  5. Frickin’ Seattle is up 2 - 0 over Dallas after one.
  6. Aren’t they used by every team in every professional sport across the country/world? All these young players are walking all over their coaches? The team captains are getting walked all over? The experience veterans are all getting walked all over? The kids are running wild unsupervised and the only thing that Lindy can do is complain about them checking up on his words on the bench? Yeah. I’m not buying this line of reasoning.
  7. 62 year coach with +2 readers and about to be fired, complains that his team uses technology too much. Are these not professional hockey players? Do they not know if it’s a useful tool or not?
  8. Orrrrrrr…. Maybe he’s ranting and placing blame on people when it’s actually not their fault and they’re pretty pissed off about it and he doesn’t like the fact that he can be challenged.
  9. From the Buffalo News: Lessons from Lindy Devils coach Lindy Ruff was asked a routine question after Thursday's morning skate about how technology mushroomed around the game in recent years and had an interesting take on the proliferation of it on benches during games. "I think the iPads sometimes are a distraction. Players are grabbing for iPads constantly," Ruff said. "There's times I'd just like to take the iPads and throw them away. I sense that almost everybody's looking at them. "Sometimes when there's a mistake, they're looking at justification, that it might not be me. If you're barking out something we weren't good enough at, automatically somebody's reaching back and grabbing it and they want to go, 'Come on, that wasn't me.'"
  10. I’m not even saying that. Sometimes you bury your chances, more often you don’t. Right now, his shots are so bad that unless the keeper dove out of the way, they don’t even have a chance to go in. Cause all he’s doing is pushing every single shot right into the keeper’s chest or pads.
  11. Oh look, Cozens shot the puck straight into the keepers chest. Shocking.
  12. I don’t get it. What does this have to do with his shot? Shooting is a skill that’s built up over years and years starting at the youth level. I never heard of someone’s body growing into a shot.
  13. His shot is underrated or my point is underrated?
  14. I don’t know what his production was like in juniors, but I don’t think he is even close to having an NHL level shot.
  15. It’s sad that they are wearing two patches, not to mention that they’re weirdly placed.
  16. I’d have that little girl sing the anthems every day of the year before I’d ever listen to Doug Allen again.
  17. If that was the only other option, then yes. I don’t understand digging something up that’s long dead, that the title doesn’t match the new post and the desire to put it there. I literally can’t think of a single benefit of doing that. Please name one if I’m missing it. Putting a post in an old topic where it doesn’t belong does not lend legitimacy to it. i’ve mentioned this specifically before. Please put yourself in the shoes of an infrequent poster or someone who isn’t here all day. What do you think the user experience is when they see a topic from a month ago that states had Okposo and his contract. Do you think that they might expect to read something about his contract? Do you think they would be expecting new information on that subject? After all, someone dug it up for a reason right? What is their experience when they open it up, scroll through all the posts that they didn’t read a month ago, only to find a point comparison with Taylor Hall? As a reader are you happy when that happens? Why did that reader have to go through that? Most likely, the best option to just put it in Around the NHL. It’s literally the topic about minor NHL happenings that don’t deserve it’s own topic.
  18. Why? Really. Why? A month old topic about Kyle Okposo and his contract is resurrected to post a comparison tweet between him and Taylor Hall? Why do you think it’s helpful to dig up a dead topic that has nothing to do with what you are posting? Please stop doing this. Not only is this just flat out not helpful, it’s confusing to everyone who wonders why it was resurrected to only find out it was for no reason.
  19. Tampa demolishing the leafs tonight 8-1 so far. 😳
