But the Flyers beat the Sabres, 4-3, at the Spectrum. The Sabres had still not won a game in Philly in their history, and their luck would not get better the following season, when they lost three games in the Stanley Cup finals in the City of not so Brotherly Love. In fact, it took the Sabre franchise seven years to get its first win at the Spectrum.
