Eleven Posted April 27, 2006 Report Share Posted April 27, 2006 The thing that REALLY bugs me about the Kate Smith deal is this: She sang "God Bless America" beautifully, but only did so for Flyers games about 4 or 5 times. It's not like she was a standard act. All of the sudden, beginning in the late '80s, these asswipes (yes, raise my warn level) think it's "their" song. It's not their song. She's not their singer. Let it go, Philly. Or continue the fiction and erect another statue to fiction, as you already have done for "Rocky." Oh, and Connolly just put one in!!!!!
