For anyone who watched the VGK-DAL game last night, the Sabres are more effective on the rush and in the offensive zone than either of those teams.  I don't think it's even really close.  The advances the Sabres have made in passing are almost mindblowing.  You can compare them to real playoff teams (and they've been playing a lot of them lately) and they clearly belong in that group.  Not upper echelon yet, but really if they get decent goaltending and don't have major injury problems next year they should be in the playoffs, at least in the hunt.
