You know, isn't it nice to not have to memorize the schedules of teams #7-10 in the standings? Hell, i don't even know who's the #6-8 seed. Sure, the sabres have had some bad luck this past month, but you're kidding yourself and all of us if you thought the Sabres would at least have the #5 seed locked up and have an eye on the division title 1 week before the end of the season. Not in my wildest dreams folks...

Follow the AHL and try to enjoy it, remembering that it only bodes optimism when you see future Sabres like Roy, Vanek and Miller excelling and growing in maturity and experience. There are holes on the Sabres' roster that we all lament and are aware of - these up and coming talents will surely improve the roster whenever the NHL gets its act together and resumes play.

nah... keep the game in buffalo. The bills game will be (or already is) a sellout. Everyone else can go to the sabres game. If the sabres show up in october and november (or they don't, and the bills stink--highly unlikely), that game will be a sellout, or close to it. Yeah, it sucks that we were screwed by the schedule makers, but its not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the team got weaker in the offseason and stunk last season. Why would anyone pick this team to make the playoffs? I surely wouldn't.

 

The question I have is whether they get the take on the lunch bucket attitude they had right before Satan was brought in. If they do, I think they will at least entertaining and probably pretty competitive.

well, my wife made brownies, so i have to stop there. I went from pages 24 to 18 in the archives in reverse order. We were really stupid back then. It taught me a few things

 

1) Predicting the sabres would have 100+ points would have gotten me banned and kicked of the mod team had i said that in august.

 

2) None of us can predict the future. This is sports where hard work, heart, team first attitude, and coaching trump talent 9 out of 10 times.

 

3) I don't feel all that bad about the 2006 Buffalo Bills anymore.

 

4) Reading that crap really puts the past month in perspective.

I don't think it's time to make anyone eat crow, Corp. You risk sounding like Lorentz when, a few games into Miller's slump, he admonished some critical fans to "give him a break!" That was about a month ago.
