March 16, 2001 In his second game as a Sabre, Steve Heinze scores a hat trick in a 4-2 win over Vancouver at HSBC Arena. He of the Shaved Head certainly can use the hat. And the Sabres, who had been hot since the All-Star Break, could use the points as they try to nail down fourth place in the conference and home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. He went to LA. had a mediocre season and was out of hockey in 2 years. Plus, thats when the Sabres traded Dom and started their freefall.
