matter2003 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 Ruff has gone 8-2 when he opens a playoff series on the road in the first game, for a sparkling 80% win ratio...I dunno why its so high, but I like the fact that it is!! Obviously he does a great job getting his teams mentally prepared for winning that first game on the road, but unfortunately his record in game 2's on the road is a less than stellar 3-7... Hopefully they can pull an "Ottawa" of '06 when they won both games to take a commanding 2-0 lead en route to a 4-1 series win... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

eball Posted April 12, 2011 Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 Ruff's made no secret of the fact he enjoys the "bunker mentality" of starting a series on the road, away from the distractions and comforts of home. Given the way Buffalo has had to be in "playoff mode" for the past two months, I can't think of a better way to start this postseason than by going into Philly and stealing their cookies.
