mphs mike Posted March 7, 2006 Report Share Posted March 7, 2006 3/7/71 is interesting. The very first Sabres game I went to was in the spring of '71 against the Blues. It was a weeknight and my father made us leave at the end of the second because of school the next day. I have always held it against him because I recall that Bert broke the rookie goal record in the third period that night. I guess I didn't miss it by being forced to leave early that night.
