Would still like to have him. yeah but that trade ended up landing briere (through gratton) and roy. i dont know if sarich is worth a briere... Raelity Posted February 19, 2007 Report Share Posted February 19, 2007 Hoping that Connolly comes back to play is bad enough, hoping that he comes back after almost missing another full season, AND comes back playing just like he was in the playoffs last year is boardering on fantasy. What if Timmy comes back and he plays like he did before the lockout? Is that going to win us the cup? Keep him off the team til next season when he will be 100%, we'll need him more then without Briere and/or Drury in the lineup I agree wholeheartedly. Timmy coming back and playing great is a long shot. And if he is playing great he will be every team's target for viscious hits as they try to knock him out of the game(s). Better to use his money on someone (or two) players who ought to for sure be able to contribute and add to our depth. He is a great player but it sure seems he also would be better off, not rushing back. The Sabres cannot afford to just hope for the best - they need to plan for it, painful as that may be.
