Well, if the new CBA allows the salary cap to grow to $200M per team per year, this'll look like a steal.

The Dallas Stars franchise owned the copyrights to the North Star name/logo, etc. At the time, this wasn't a friendly case like Atlanta moving to Winnipeg and getting permission from the Coyotes to use the Jets name- there was bad blood between the owner of the Stars and Minnesota that ended in the owner taking the team south. Friendly intellectual property agreements weren't going to take place, especially when the owner just took the "North" Stars name, logo, and colors and only lopped off the word "North" when he moved south.

TSN reporting that Red Wings have offered $90M over 13 years for Ryan Suter. Flyers, Wild, and Preds still in the chase. No decisions yet.

Jagr signs with Dallas, one year @ $4.55M. That just doesn't make any sense to me. Good for Joe Neiuwendyk, but I just don't get why Jagr would go there. The only reason that I can even fathom would be that Jagr's just grabbing cash now, and Dallas offered the most. Plain weird.

Aww, ###### you for pointing that out. :) ###### Boyes.

Ah, good call. I guess Patrick "Tiny" Kaleta takes the faceoffs between Finley and Scott.

Hell no, no complaints here. I understand his role perfectly; I like it. He's a cheap depth signing who's going to play in Rochester, and then get pulled up to the lineup in a 11 forwards-7 defensemen role every time we visit Massachusetts and Eastern Pennsylvania. Best case scenario, he works his ass off, shows he can play at-home defense, does a little work on the 3rd pair, and pushes some other guy into trade bait/package deal land. Worst case scenario, he crushes fools in the AHL like Andre the Giant, which builds fan relations and keeps AHL lardasses from stepping on Girgensen's nuts.

"The best heavy weight in the NHL." Also, wore #32 in Chicago.

Jesus ######: Joe Finley, 6'8", 260lbs John Scott, 6'8", 270lbs 'Mericans, ###### yeah!

How bad ass is this guy? He actually stole Jason Woolley's eyebrows and he wears them like a trophy.

Breaking News: Buffalo Sabres claim G Martin Biron off of waivers. ...in my EA Sports NHL12 season. Now I need to decide whether I want to trade Enroth.

What, you delete the Luongo rumor?

This whole process would be more entertaining if it were more transparent, if you could see what teams actually offered to all players (not just the signings). That way, when you see things like when Parise signs with ___ for $Lots, you'd also find out he turned down Regier's offer of $LessRidiculous and the Islanders attempted overpayment of $Texas. That does occasionally happen, and when it does, it's very telling (if not relevant to end-of-the-day on-ice matters). When Larry Quinn states publicly that we were willing to match any deal for Drury, it changes what you think about the management and players involved. It'd also reveal things like if Darcy went after 0 players or 75 players, and let you know the direction they're trying to head. I guess it'd would essentially show other teams your cards, but if GMs are talking anyways, maybe that's not a big deal.

Noo! I just bought my authentic Boyes jersey! /notreally

According to this year's player usage charts, Bobby Ryan would likely do very well in Ruff's two-way system.

Yeah, my bad. Experiment gone awry. Now where the ###### is Gordon Freeman?

Gragnani - not re-signed by Vancouver, signed by 'Canes
IKnowPhysics replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Archive
I'm hopeful, but not sold. I like that he's busting his ass with Gary Roberts over the summer, that's good. Regardless of other roster moves at center, Hodgson's going to be put in a position where he'll have to play a two way game. Will that translate into offensive stats? Unless he's responsible in the defensive zone, he won't get the minutes/opportunities to find out. I really want him to succeed and reach his potential, so it'll be fun to watch him. -
It is, especially after the league publicly trashed the NHLPA for rejecting the realigment plan.

Let me help. Better? Better. Now, for the content. In the nine games between March 10 and March 28, FES produced 17 goals, or 1.88 goals per game. If every line on the Sabres produced like that, you'd end up scoring something in the neighborhood of 7-8 goals per game. Seeing as how the '83-'84 Oilers, who hold the NHL record most goals in season (446 goals on 80 games) with a little over 5.5 goals per game, that imaginary Sabres team would likely be the best team in hockey history, smashing that record by about 170 goals.

Now you see, ###### could be any word. It's like forum madlibs. And just for the very reason that we have auto censorship on this board, I choose to believe the word the mod wanted to use was "dick."

It's a legitimate path, and likely the same path by which we'd keep Derek Roy around as long as possible next season, regardless of whether we had intentions of signing him.

NHL Attendance ranking of Anaheim Ducks: 26th Only worse: Columbus, Dallas, Islanders, Phoenix That's your answer. Side bar: LOL, Dallas, where'd all your fans go? You post up winning seasons, but don't make the playoffs, and suddenly your attendance percentage is NHL worst? Lulz.
