  1. I will agree he played with more energy last night, but IMHO he looked very lazy against the Hawks the game before.
  2. IMHO - the fact that this is even a discussion topic is a failure on the part of GMKA. In general, I would suspect most would feel that what's best for Benson is further development to improve strength, speed, etc. In other words, maybe next year or the year after. The failure of management is that they are now in a tough position where he is clearly a top 6 player now.....when he shouldn't be. There should be other players/vets already forming our top 6, making Benson expendable to go back and save a year on his ELC.
  3. It's professional sports....when the team fails to meet expectations, then the coach(s) is typically the fall guy. The Bills finally made a change and fired Dorsey, whether he deserved it or not. I personally don't buy the argument that Granato bears no responsibility here (vs. GMKA only). His roster is not significantly different from last year, yet his team is near the bottom of the conference and is already at a statistical disadvantage for making the playoffs.
  4. "Tired"? Please elaborate. They played 3 nights ago....Maybe Dahlin, Power and Muel are tired, but the rest should be pretty fresh.
  5. I tend to agree.....but what went wrong with his thinking? Sure Levi getting hurt was a factor, but this 3 goalie rotation cannot enable any of them to succeed. So what is my point? Mike Bales....what has he done over the past several seasons to suggest he is a good goalie coach? Personally, I think Levi was better coming out of college than he looks now having spent more time with Bales. I'm pissed after this loss, but I really want to see somebody challenge if our coaching is again this team's Achilles heel.
  6. So glad DG dressed 7 D so that he could keep Dahlin down to just 27 minutes and Power a mere 24 minutes (sarcasm). His decision making is going to cost this team another season of no playoffs. Coupled with the stupid 3 goalie rotation where Levi looks stale and rusty. I can only hope that at some point Pegula and maybe GMKA finally realize a change is needed.
  7. Disappointed with Cozens again...he failed to skate hard enough to help prevent the 2 on 1 after the Caps took possession after his shot.
  8. I'd rather see Little Johnson out there 3 on 3 than Power....he's fresh and a better skater.
  9. Sorry to say this, but why is DG putting Dahlin and Muel out there so much this period to the point they are gassed......he has other capable defenders who are fresh and should be out there.....like Big Johnson and Clifton. Play your other assets to help preserve your most valuable ones.....DG's game management is frustrating me.
  10. Joki has to get the puck to the line there!
  11. Quietly effective game by the duo of Big Johnson and Clifton tonight.
  12. Gotta admit...VO's one-timer looked pretty dangerous there! Horrible turnover pass by KO there trying to go across to VO....I'd rather see other players on the ice, but who am I to disagree with the PP genius Matty Ellis.
  13. Hey....Owen Power can now go to Outlet Liquor!!!
  14. Nice little forecheck by Benson behind the Caps net there.....fearless!
  15. Did somebody in the production truck make too many trips to Outlet Liquor?
  16. Maybe he should be the goaltending coach....since he had such a strong history of not scoring as a player.
  17. Which begs the question.....how much longer does he have to wear it? No idea as far as I know.
  18. Defensively, Big Johnson and Clifton are +2...Little Johnson is 0. Main 3 guys with the most minutes are -1 as well as Joki (only 7 minutes).
  19. FFS - 6 men and not even close.....how can this happen so badly? My guess is 11-7 does not help.
  20. Nice to get the lead back...now increase it! Hopefully Cozens is trending his way back to normal.
  21. Yes...makes me think of NFL running backs....they need touches to get into a rhythm running the ball. The 3-headed beast prevents any of them from getting sufficient reps to sharpen their games.
  22. I am being sarcastic....but that being said, I cannot help but wonder why he projects so much 'weakness' on the ice with his balance and ability to stay vertical when engaged in any physical contact. If he's stronger, than I don't see it at all.
