Not enough secondary scoring still. Really need a viable 2C. My second priority is for the coaching staff to get it's act together as far as special teams. Not much PP opportunity today (1-sided officiating again), but before today the PP was horrible and ineffective (still miss the Disco Dan days where we had a top 5 PP unit). Unfortunately it killed us again today. Just as bad is the PK. I feel the unit is coached to be too passive and therefore there is no pressure on the puck. I'd rather see the unit be aggressive and go down fighting vs. the timid approach I see now.
Get a 2C and fix special teams and we can maybe keep up with the division leaders.

During McCabe's last game I went back on the DVR to look for something. Saw several non-eventful shifts as far as any physical contact. I think he skated one shift in the second period and again I looked for any contact...none. He went to the bench and straight to the locker room. I honestly thought he had the flu or bad food....just did not see anything obvious to suggest a long-term absence....still a mystery to me.

I was in my car and had to listen to most of the 1st period. I hate to say it, but Dan Dunleavy is terrible from a play-by-play standpoint. I could not visualize the game with only his commentary. I never noticed this before because I had the benefit of television to see the action. I hope Rick sticks around a while.

Don't understand why Pominville not on the PP....better shot. Okposo not really effective in my opinion.

Backtracked on the DVR to the first period. Saw several regular looking shifts by McCabe and he seemed to move fine, no physical incidents or events to suggest an injury. He started the 2nd period on the PK and was on the ice when Risto took the shot to the leg. Again nothing that I saw in terms of contact or incident. When he went to the bench, he then started heading towards the locker room.
Wondering if it might be just a flu bug thing or other internal irregularity??? I just did not see anything otherwise.
