Yeah, it's actually this board that's crying.

First period summary. Blues get a lucky goal, this message board melts down yet again with not one positive comment.

I have a feeling Ellis survives any purge of the coaching staff, being a Pegula Favorite has its advantages
He MUST be rubbing Pegulas feet every night

Would keep Benson and UPL.
Benson got wrecked trying the patented Sabres "extra dangle"

So if that relatively small part of the hockey budget is restricted, what does that say about spending on players?
And we collectively thought Golisano was too penny picking

Marco Scandella still playing lol

Adams is definitely on a budget. Just look at the quality of the coaching staff.
Pegula stinks now and forever

I thought you checked out for the season, again?
You posted you were out 17 hours ago. Is it the Ottawa logo that you use as an avatar. Are you checked out on Senators games?
Is he not allowed to change his mind? Lol

The Sabres trade Casey Mittlestatds, this year's 1st and Isak Rosen for Brady Tkachuk

I was not angry writing the post, do you have empathic power? I just prefer not listening to that pod cast with those two dropping f-bombs and spreading rumors.
Sabres could use a guy or two who say F this on the ice once in a while
Get angry and get even
It's too bad Eichel for Tkachuk fell through, or was a non story

First, what are you angry about?
Second, why do you like it before you even see the trade? Sure, Mitts is tradeable if you can make a deal to improve the team. I want to see the trade before I decide I like it.
Third, What exactly is Adams banking on? He rushed to pay Muel (after 54 NHL games), then rushed to sign Cozens when he had time (literally causing Cozens to become a head case), then he rushed to sign Power who not surprisingly is struggling in his sophomore season.
Is Kevyn all of a sudden learning on the job?
What about his neglect of the goaltending in the off season, our PLAYOFF off season? UPL is emerging, we are almost eliminated from the playoffs and now all of a sudden he needs a better goalie?
Adams is confusing me with his logic, but I can't wait to see him make a trade of substance (not counting trading the very good players that wanted to leave).
1. I gave you the angry emoji because you were angry writing that post
2. I like trades, they are exciting
3. You answered your own question at the end
I don't see how Adams' logic is confusing. You may not like it, but its not the least bit confusing to me

Exactly.
Why should we want to keep our leading scorer when we are not scoring enough goals...
Adams is banking on the other contracts he gave out. Can't pay everybody
I like it. Trade him

I had said that earlier just by the eye test. Good to see data back that up. It was not as dominating and one sided as many are saying.
It absolutely was dominated by the Sabres, at least to me.
These guys have proven time and time again that they can skate circles around the opponent but they have to go for the highlight reel top shelf fancy goal.
I'm sick of seeing Power and Dahlin make an extra stick handle, then looking exactly where they're going to shoot (high always) thus allowing the goalie an extra second to prepare his stance. That's the problem. Fancy or nothin
Which is extremely coachable to me. How has Granato not yanked Power by the ear and said stop over thinking every single aspect? And if he has, and the team does not listen, it's STILL Granatos fault.
How he's still the coach is beyond my comprehension.
Along with all the other assistant idiots

Time to start considering him injury prone. I'd strongly look to move him once he's recovered in the offseason.
I'm sick of pick and prospect trades but he's one I would trade for a pick.
If Mittlestadt gets traded it better not be for picks/prospects

Absolutely
Sabres get revenge from last year and put up 10 on Dallas and their terrible jerseys

I don't think it's physicality as much as persistence. You don't have to flatten the other guy, you just need to disrupt him enough to separate him from the puck. Too often the Sabres at both end of the rink do quick fly-by's and try to poke the puck away, but if not successful they just skate on by. No. They need to persistently pursue the puck carrier and bully him into giving it away. That can have a physical aspect to it, but it can also just be chasing/blocking/hurrying the puck carrier until he makes a mistake. There can be several aspects to persistence... tools in the toolbox... including physicality but also speed, active sticks, and positioning. I mean Benson is as good at this stuff as anyone and he's hardly an imposing physical presence.
Be relentless
