I said it after last game where they won despite playing really poorly, I don't think Granato is the guy to get this team to the next level. He did an admirable job helping this team and these players crawl out of the gutter, but I think we're getting stale. It's the same issues we've seen for 2.5 years. I just feel like they need a fresh message from behind the bench. Maybe someone like Gallant?

Greetings, gang. Checking in late home from dinner. Saw the highlight of Benson's goal, WHOA NELLIE!

This right here is what makes me think the Meatballs era may have run its course. I'm happy with a win, always, but they did not play well tonight at all. There seems to be a malaise around the whole team. Worst of all, the offense has regressed badly, and that's supposed to be Granato's bread and butter. I know missing TNT and Quinn hurt, but these guys look nothing like the fast skating, crisp passing team we saw for chunks of last year. The PP, despite a goal tonight, is a sludge fart. I just wonder if a fresh message behind the bench isn't what this team needs to unlock the potential. I know everyone hates the P word, but we've all seen it. It's just a matter of getting it out of them every night...not in flashes, and I don't know if Meatballs is the guy to do it anymore.

He's making some big saves, I just wish his rebound control would improve. I'm having about 11-13 mini panic attacks a game with these big juicy ones he's prone to

This is a must win game. This team hasn't been able to build any kind of sustainable positive momentum and cannot afford losing streaks at this point. I'm not a "fire everyone" kind of fan, but if they drop this one, I think we need to have a discussion about DG and if he's the guy to get this team to the next level. The playoffs have to be the goal this season and it's getting too late to be early. At what point do you do something to shake things up?
