I remember him having a nice run in January...if I recall correctly, he was named rookie of the month. But he fell apart after that. He looks like a totally different goalie this year.

Probably best for his development. UPL should be playing most nights. Getting actual reps in the AHL is better than sitting on his butt up in Buffalo.

He was very noticeable again. He belongs. At his age, that's very impressive.

I wrote him off after last season. I thought he was too slow among other issues. Well, his lateral movement/quickness, reaction time, and even rebound control seems much improved and he is by a wide margin our best goalie right now. And these performances aren't against cupcakes like most of that nice run he had in January. He looks sharp, more confident, and like an actually good NHL goalie. I'm happy that he's proving so many of us wrong. Should be his nets unless/until he gives a reason to look another direction.

Helluva game by the boys. UPL stood tall.

I said it after last game where they won despite playing really poorly, I don't think Granato is the guy to get this team to the next level. He did an admirable job helping this team and these players crawl out of the gutter, but I think we're getting stale. It's the same issues we've seen for 2.5 years. I just feel like they need a fresh message from behind the bench. Maybe someone like Gallant?
