  1. David Clarkson will not re-sign with the NJD and is headed for UFA.
  2. it would be really foolish to walk the tight rope between getting "market value" and getting nothing (a la Drury and Briere). But it sure seems like that's exactly where DR is taking this.
  3. It's deadline day for Glendale, AZ.
  4. Pretty Pricey at $5K, The Roger Crozier 8x10 is more in my range.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/...=item4d0e1aeee9 Sweetest Sabres Memorabilia that I have seen.
  6. NYI reportedly buying out Rick DiPietro: @StapeNewsday Team will use compliance buyout for DiPietro -- $1.5 million owed for next 16 seasons will not count against cap. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=426760
  7. Not sure if Bob can keep it up, but he was GREAT this year and his Vezina was well deserved. Rask is helped a great deal by the Bruins D, two way forwards, and system that prioritizes excellent defensive zone play While good, I'm not sure he's worth that much.
  8. Rask is expected to get close to 7 million per according to what I've heard. So much for the era of the highly paid Goaltender being over.
  9. According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, the annual average value of the contract is just under $6 million.
  10. The anticipated post-draft activity of this week begins: @TSNBobMcKenzie VAN's Keith Ballard is on conventional waivers. Not $100 unconditional waivers, which is necessary for buyout purposes.
  11. @mikemorrealeNHL I really feel the Buffalo Sabres should be feeling pretty good today. What a draft (on paper of course). @mikemorrealeNHL Two physical, skilled def in Ristolainen/Zadorov, then power F's Compher/Hurley/Bailey, then RW Baptiste in 3rd (who could be a steal folks)
  12. The Hockey News, NHL Draft winners and losers: http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/52611-NHL-Draft-winners-and-losers.html Buffalo The Sabres used two picks in 2012 to shore up the middle of the franchise, taking Mikhail Grigorenko and Zemgus Girgensons in the first round. This time, they went with a pair of big defenders in Rasmus Ristolainen and Nikita Zadorov. Ristolainen is closer to the NHL and has played against men back home in Finland for the past couple years, while Zadorov is a mammoth with a mean streak. The Sabres are becoming quite adept at filling their needs lately.

  16. ‏@DarrenDreger Florida tried to acquire first pick overall, but Colorado wanted 2 of the Panthers top young roster players which killed the discussion.
  17. @kevinoDandC Per Bill Hoppe, #Sabres won't give qualifying offers to D Drew Schiestel or RW Jacob Lagace. Not that that's a surprise. It's UFA for Leggio...may get a deal if the Sabres trade Miller. @BillHoppeNHL Regier on David Leggio: "I told him that if he chose to be patient, there may be something there." #Sabres #Rochester
  18. Still wish they selected Nichushkin at 8. @BuffaloSabres That's all folks! Get the complete rundown of #Buffalo's work at the 2013 #NHLDraft >>> http://ow.ly/mwO20 #Sabres
  19. They also have Ullmark is the Swedish league.
  20. Very cool seeing the Devils let Brodeur announce the drafting of his kid. Nice touch NJ. :clapping:
  21. He's talking about passing on Fucale and instead taking Compher?
  22. Get a room and get this 'er done.
  23. Sabres up soon for back to back picks @ 129 & 130
