@DarrenDreger
Briere and agent Pat Brisson are winding down team intvws. 5 yesterday and a few more expected today before vet forward makes his choice.
Darcy needs your help :unsure:
@BuffaloSabres
Fans, who do you think the #Sabres should target in free agency? Leave a comment here: http://ow.ly/mCB52
The chance of removal of these three especially for me in addition to Briere's veteran leadership skills are just a couple of the reasons I'd like to see him back. I don't mind having Flynn around at all as a 4th line energy guy with a decent skill set. Stafford needs a change of venue, while Porter/Gerbe have no business at all on any NHL roster.
Letang is in the Pens fold for the long term. They really are gonna need the Cap to go up in 14-15 with the Malkin and Crosby deals also kicking in:
@ToddCordell
The Pittsburgh #Penguins have announced via Twitter that they've signed Kris Letang to an 8-year, $58 million extension.
Stars out of Vinny sweepstakes:
@DarrenDreger
Further to @aaronward_nhl report on Lecavalier, I have also been told by a Stars source, Lecavalier has eliminated Dallas from contention.
Lecavalier reportedly wants to be located in the east....which, if true, means the Bruins, Rangers, Canadiens, and Senators are the most likely destinations.
Ricky D has been set free:
@Nichols_NHLPool
It's official: #Isles place Rick DiPietro on unconditional waivers.
@TSNBobMcKenzie
WSH puts Jeff Schultz on unconditional ($100) waivers for purposes of buyout. Ditto for NYI and Rick DiPietro.
Sounds like the Pardy is over in Roch:
@kevinoDandC
Finding veteran D-man will be a priority for the #Amerks. UFA Adam Pardy will search for 1-way contract elsewhere; #Sabres not giving it...
I definitely get where he's coming from, but no way a team allows that to actually come to fruition on ice with a marginally talented player teaching a lesson to less grateful highly valued asset like a Nichushkin.
You may be right, but I think it's rooted in jealousy and a dislike of European players. It's a new day and players owe it to themselves to weigh all of their options in their best interest.
