The Sabres Hockey Hotline with... somebody or other?
26CornerBlitz replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Kevin was :censored: Pissed. -
Sounds like a couple of weeks of Armia. More Sabres' Prospect news: Anthony Florentino, D – Providence College Friars (Hockey East) The Friars fended off a dangerous Miami squad with a win and a tie over the weekend and Florentino is part of a solid Providence product. The freshman has three points in four games, but more importantly was trusted with penalty-kill time and shifts against the RedHawks’ insane Riley Barber line. Drafted 143rd overall by Buffalo in 2013.

The Sabres Hockey Hotline with... somebody or other?

Did you hear the caller who asked when they (Peters and Kevin) would begin endorsing chapstick because they kiss TPegs butt so much. -
@TSNBobMcKenzie BUF retained approx $1.4M, give or take a few thousand $, or roughly 20 per cent of Thomas Vanek's remaining salary, as part of NYI trade. @DarrenDreger As per @TSNBobMcKenzie Buf retains roughly $1.4 mil of Vanek's salary. Sabres offered Vanek to Toronto along with willingness to eat salary. @DarrenDreger Vanek offer to Leafs was made 3-4 days ago, but, told there was no deal to be made.

Sounds like you need to have a chat with the NHL DoPS and Shanny because these days your views are outdated. They are not going to allow checks like the one Scott threw on Eriksson with the route he took and hitting the head first, while the Dubinsky hit is perfectly fine with the approach route and the body being contacted first. Cool story though.
-
Scott's route to Eriksson was from the side from wing to wing and he caught him in the head first with his shoulder With his approach route, Eriksson had no time to react and that's why Scott is effectively suspended right now. A big reason for the head contact is the height disparity, but regardless It's just a matter of how many games it'll be in the end.
-
Total BS! Scott skated from one wing across to the other and hit Eriksson from the side and in the head with his shoulder. You are blind!
-
Not even close! The Scott hit was from the side with the head contacted first. The Dubinsky hit was front to front with Koivu's body being contacted first, followed by the collateral damage of a head blow. You just want to dwell in the house of woe is Buffalo, the NHL is picking on us mentality. No objective person would reasonably conclude that those two hits are "similar". Give it a rest!

Is there any chance that trades will be made before deadline?

Been saying the Islanders are a logical destination since they bowed out in the Playoffs to the Pens. With Miller in place of Nabokov in net, the Isles advance and who knows how far they go beyond that. -
No way you can say that the Dubinsky hit was dirty. It was a front to front collision with the head being the secondary point of contact after Koivu's body was contacted.

I'm really not upset at all about Moulson wearing #26 given Vanek's willingness to always do what's in his best interest. Number one being signing the offer sheet with the Oil seven years ago in order to maximize his earnings and secondly not wanting to hang around the organization as they go through rough waters. I totally understand his mindset in each scenario, but he's not an all time beloved Sabre IMO. Truly enjoyed him as a Sabre, but he's always kind of had the mercenary attitude. Next!
