What happened was awful but how did Quenneville directly ruin the kid’s career? The coaching staff at the AHL level and Bowman as GM would have been more directly involved.

It should have been handled way differently from an organizational standpoint.

All I’m saying is Quenneville was disciplined by the league and if they decide to reinstate him as some sources seem to think, he will be sought after as he is an excellent coach. If he is available the Sabres should talk to him.

Former Blackhawks player Kyle Beach says Quenneville knew the coach raped him and did nothing about it.

I think Brindamour is extended already in Carolina.

Berube brings exactly what Adams was spewing today: experience, structure, fire, Cup champion

Quenneville is the wildcard. He made a mistake and paid the price. He has apparently taken all the steps to improve himself.  He has paid his debt and will get a second chance. I think it should be in Buffalo. Brings everything Adams is looking for.

Ruff is the low hanging fruit and the least desirable choice but does add what Adams wants.

Gallant and Boudreau are not known for structure.

Berube or Quenneville are the hopes, Ruff is the fallback expectation.

It will be interesting because Adams sounded like his ass is in the fire now. I would expect some trades and signings this summer that are outside his comfort zone.

I'm sorry how? Did he receive jail time ? He got to stay home and be with his millions of dollars how is that a punishment

I should edit to say that - more than showing limited interest in blocking - the larger criticism is that he tends to loaf off if he knows the play's not going towards him.

If the player were more level headed than Pickens, I'd take a prospect that matches Pickens' skills in a heartbeat.

Anyone would take George Pickens if he actually didn't care about one person and only one person only himself.

That's probably why they couldn't trade him no one wanted him

I heard one football talking guy say that one of Mitchell's red flags is that he takes plays off, shows limited interest in blocking.

If true, that sounds disqualifying for the Bills.

Sounds like George Pickens you don't want that

100%.  From laughing stock to one of the top teams in the league.   No doubt in my mind the Sabres would replicate under a guy like Brind'mour

Ruff gets them into the playoffs

DG with a good coaching staff and a few changes to the lineup and he gets them in next year

As constructed, absolutely not. Build a team where TNT and Cozens are 2C and 3C then we can talk perennial playoffs.

Paying cozens that kind of money for a 3rd line center( that you're projecting him) is ridiculous

  7. Free agents are just overpriced and not worth it.

Hopefully they trade for someone that will make a impact next year

Byram is definitely a good player, but he's redundant, and will be out of here in a couple of years.

    Yeah I don't see this

Going back over the trades since 2014 , there is only 1 that I truly hate and that's the trade that sent DESLAURIERS to MTL for REDMOND in Oct 2017

most every other trade had at least something positive to come back

trading away McNabb was a mistake but it did bring in Deslauriers, which could have been good if we kept him around   This ignores the fact that Cernak was taken with the 2nd round pick Sabres traded away     So if you assume Sabres have both Cernak and McNabb and developed them  properly, then this becomes a disaster of a trade

McNabb and Cernak for 2years of Deslauriers   👎👎👎👎

Then again what are the odds the Sabres develop them into the players they are today ?
