What has he done since Sunday?

We wait 77 more days until the season starts

Just a reality check...building a playoff team is more than just collecting talent. Find the right mix or you may end up on the outside looking in...again.
That is just pure speculation and I won’t have any of it

I will believe all or any of this when I see it... nice daydream though
Well I didn’t believe we had a snowballs chance in hell that we would sign Taylor Hall either 🤷🏻♂️

If the Sabres are able to move Ristolainen and Reinhart and get a player back like a Sean Monahan, no offenses to both those players, but I would personally drive them both to the airport to make this deal happen.
And I’ll carry their luggage

Looking at Buffalo's D situation on capfriendly.
Is Borgen ready yet? What about Fitzgerald.
Also, does Pilut get a shot at a full time LD position?
Looks like the Sabres have some options to move a couple of D and at least 1 forward and still have some depth, no?
Isn’t Pilut gone? I know he signed a contract in the KHL but do we still keep his rights? I was always confused on how that works

I’ve now had 2 wake ups and it’s still a reality that the Sabres signed Taylor Hall, arguably the best free agent available on the market...

Ugh Cody Hodgson 🤮

He’s going to have a bounce back year. Plus winning usually cures all.

I think Columbus and a surprise team, Colorado have all been sniffing around Risto and Montour. I’d be shocked if one of them isn’t part of package for a goalie.
Why do you think that?

Saw this lineup on Twitter.
Hall-Eichel-VO
Skinner-Staal-Cozens (My concern is he’s not ready for Top 6 Role)
Thompson-Eakin-Reinhart ( This is similar to Tuch-Eakin-Pacioretty line which Eakin had his most success with)
Rieder/Zemgus-Lazar-Okposo
I’d definitely switch out Cozens for Reinhart on the 2nd line

And just like that, the Sabres became a respectable franchise again. You bring in arguably the biggest fish in the pond and you deserve some respect. Now they have to put it together on the ice. Kevyn Adams might be more popular than Josh Allen in Buffalo for the night

NHL free agency is completely different than the NFL. Crazy how long it takes for the bigger names to sign. Also seems like nothing happens before noon.
Not always like this. A lot of teams aren’t spending to the cap. Teams are basically penny pinching

I know it is still early in the free agency period, but it is hard to not feel discouraged. Seems that not only have we not signed a player that would be a significant upgrade at a position of need, we have re-signed or signed players at above what should be their current market value. This is a bad combination and does not bode well for the upcoming season.
I need to know that we are at least trying to sign a marquee player. I get that we are not a desirable destination but the fan base needs to now that they are putting in an effort to improve the team

He’s good at doing his own oil changes, and is good at naming state capitals.
He’s bad at making a good omelette, and remembering to change the filter for the furnace.
In all fairness to him I have to imagine that most people are bad at remembering to change the filter in the furnace.

Still a lot of shoes to drop.
Hall, Pietrangelo, Granlund, Toffoli, Vatanen, Hoffman, Greene, Galchenyuk, Dadonov, Kulikov, Namestnikov, Hamonic, Grabner, Athanisiou, Haula, Wilson, Forbert, Thornton, Lewis, Chara, Duclair, Clifford, Kahun, Leivo, Caggiula, Hutton, Mueller, Rutta, Gustafson, Bowey, Boyle, Sheahan, Marleau, Kovalchuk, Wallmark...
And if we miss out on the good ones, there are still cap dumps to come.
We aren’t a destination, so we need to be patient.
So you’re staying we still have plenty more time to be disappointed?

For the record. I'm a Sabre fan. Have been since they came into the league. I want them to be successful. Goalies are not where I want them to spend big on but an upgrade on our backup would be nice. Spend big at other positions. If they can find one #1 or #2 scoring winger and a third line center and marginally upgrade our goalkeeper I'm happy invest your money in scoring..
I agree. That’s why they drafted arguably the best goal scorer in the draft. I really hope they throw an offer to Hall or make a trade for a legit goal scorer. Hall is a pipe dream but it’s not that far fetched that Adams can bring someone in via trade

Have you ever not been serious a moment in your life? I mean I know I wasn’t serious when I asked if anyone was hanging out at the airport...

I’ll bet Adams can’t even fly a jet. What an awful hire

Dreger saying on the Instigators just now that they are a long shot, but the Sabres are one of about 10 teams expected to reach out to Taylor Hall.
Anyone hanging out at the airport?

As much as I want it to happen, I don’t have faith in the front office to pull the trigger. What move would you like to see?

There’s going to be a season. Hell even the WNBA had a season. I have no idea what it will look like but they are going to play
