  1. Considering what he inherited - big pluses for Adams:

Developed UPL - stuck with him

    Traded for Levi

    Traded for Byram

    Traded for Tuch

Locked up Tage, Dahlin, Cozens, Power - their best days are coming.  Tage I have questions.  But he’s at worst a 2C

    Drafted Benson

    Drafted Quinn

    Traded for Greenway

Signed Clifton - he’s definitely come on the 2nd half

Places where his hands are tied

No one wants to come here

    No one wants Skinner

Okposo was coming off a decent year they needed a vet he made the most sense

    Terry wants Girgenson to stay

He wanted to do right by Eichel and Reinhart - but got good return.

    Kane wasn’t signing here

Granato did lead a turnaround - but - fire him?  He just signed an extension and..

Bad injury luck we didn’t need this year: Muel, Quinn, Tage, Tuch

Levi - would he have stayed at college if there wasn’t some sort of “we’ll give you a shot” deal.  We could NOT lose him.

    His mistakes?

Not mixing “toughness” with his youth.  We get pushed around.  We aren’t good enough to play with skilled veteran teams that are hard on the puck.  We lack elite big forwards.

Our top forwards can’t take hits and don’t dish any out.  They don’t like playing that way or coached not to.

This has to be addressed somehow.  Greenway is a 4th line PKer on a playoff team.  We need to play him in the top 9 because we’re so small and the forwards didn’t play defense

Overall grade from me is B-

    Granato - C

Overwhelmed but hanging in there… Need some attack and shooting… Get the message across, Coach

If I’m DG:  *flips table*  “F the Xs and Os, you just are flat out not hustling as hard as them, you don’t think you’re as good as them, you’re admiring their passing, you’re standing around when you don’t have the puck hoping someone makes a play, you pass the puck hoping it gets there - get your heads out of your ***es and play every shift like it’s the season.  Because it is.  I’m playing the guys that look like they give af.”

Actual DG:  “You guys did a good job in those last 2 minutes to get a little more zone time.  Excellent job.  Just keep that up.  My bad on the challenge that’s on me.  Ok let’s go.”

What's the 7pm game tonight ?  Devils vs Pens? But I want both to lose

columbus vs Detroit - too high a chance of being disappointed

only other choice is cheering for the Leafs. 🤮

whatever the game, I'll switch over to the Islanders at 7:30

The Flyers can easily get caught by the Caps and thus putting Flyer games in play.

We are 5 points back of Philly they have 1 game in hand.

Hopefully after tonight it’s 3 points.

    Go Leafs……ugh.

The key to tonight's game: Byram/Dahlin v. Hughes/Hronek. Who wins their 5-on-5 time? Whose cuisine will reign supreme?

And now for the important part of the GDT!

    Great, Terry! Don't get cocky.

I do think the only comparison across the board is the Beatles. They basically changed a generation's of American men's haircuts overnight, and continued the clothing, rise of drug culture, etc. for half a decade. The Mania, multiple films, an endless string of #1 albums and singles, spawning the entire Monkees (fabricated band, album, TV that became a #1 selling thing of its own), and inspiring a whole generation of regular folks into thinking "I could be in a band, too" on account none of them were musical virtuosos. They started their own record label, which James Brown was doing, but was he never going to get similar positive or massive publicity from it. And then there's the other musical side of it and their influence on taking the unordinary or new and making it instantly accessible and popular (e.g., ADT, tape loops, the "album" and its cover art as the centerpiece performance).

It helps that concert tickets are basically a minimum 4-5x higher in cost than they were in 2020, compared to just the general inflation over Elton John's career. It's a good time to be a live act.

I said to my wife she’s bigger than Michael Jackson.  I think that’s the territory we’re in with her.

    Bigger than peak Michael.
