  1. I don't see how changing the coach changes anything on this team. Especially replacing him with a system guy. I firmly believe these guys were trying to win games. I firmly believe these guys will try to win future games. I firmly believe that they just aren't talented enough. I hope Rolston's first action is to strip Pominville of his C and give it to Ott. The team has been beyond poor during his Captaincy and I think his demotion is overdue. I hope Rolston's second action is to sit Miller tonight. He needs to send a message to everyone involved that they are all culpable and need to share responsibility for their collective efforts and records. I hope Rolston's third action is to send Stafford to the pressbox for a night and bring Grigs out of the Brig. And if McCormick's spot lets Grig out of the Brig, I think he needs to send Stafford there anyway.
  2. Yeah.. Got it wrong. Should look before I leap.
  3. Absolutely I remember them.
  4. Both Buffalo sports teams have imploded this year and have hired very suspect coaches. What's with Buffalo? Is the curve of the earth preventing Buffalo owners from seeing farther than Syracuse. I take no joy in either firing. Pittsburgh hires Blymsma mid season and goes on to win. Buffalo hires the AHl coach. uGh. No double uGh. If the intention was not to win now, then Lindy should have stayed until season end.
  5. Lindy Ruff, thank you.
  6. The day after thoughts: Losing begets losing.. In all aspects of life. Once you start rolling down hill, it's hard to stop. Game wasn't the worst game by this team that I have seen. There was compete last night at times. It simply wasn't good enough. Atlanta/Winnipeg has had the Sabres numbers going back to the Drury era. It is not a team the Sabres match up well against even in the best of times. The game was still in play to the last seconds, so it was watchable, painful, but watchable. The dissappearance of the FES line explains more about the Sabres offensive troubles than anything else. What was sizzling last year has fizzled this year allowing the league to concentrate on Vanek. The defensive scheme of this team needs a dramatic overhaul. They simply aren't good enough to push the play like Lindy coaches. I think the league has woken up to the fact that the Sabres can't handle the puck on the PP. These guys cough up more pucks when pressed than any team in recent memory. I predicted like many at the start of the season that faceoffs won would be in record low territory, but even I could not have predicted how bad they would be. They seemingly lose every critical faceoff. I know that is not true, but it sure feels like it. These guys are all professionals. But their whiffs, broken sticks, and outright misses is beyond comprehension for guys that have practiced their craft for years. I like Evander Kane. Give me a team of guys like that.
  7. Tell me again faceoffs don't matter
  8. PP.. Nice acting job for Brennan
  9. Time for a blueline goal
  10. Well they have more jump this period... need a goal
  11. He's checking this thread.
  12. I take that back. 2 minutes with Harry was 2 minutes too long.
  13. 2 minutes with Harry is about 1:30 too long...
  14. How about a last minute goal? Please.
  15. It's about time for a penalty to be called...
  16. I could spin the wheel and pick a different Sabre every game. Stafford, Ennis and Foligno are all performing below expectations.
  17. sigh.. down by two.. time to start playing.
  18. Sabres are tired from their day off.
  19. "we're lacking execution, emotion, intensity" Regehr
  20. Kane sure put on a burst of speed to get by him.
  21. Wow I thought Kane had a wide open net there.. Fooled me..
