Thought KA employs an Analytics Dept?… Would expect that group to have the shootout specs on every skater… Would expect the data is available to DG and Ellis before they select the shootout participants… DG makes the final call, my guess… regardless of the data.

Bowling night so missed the game, but did catch the final minute of OT and the shootout on Sirius in the car… Last two shootouts our shooters were soundly beat by both goaltenders… One goal on 7-8 attempts??… Disappointing…. DG said Comrie played well… Will read the game thread to get you all’s assessment of the action…

Was in the “play Levi” camp for the sheer majesty of the moment… in front of family and friends in a hometown NHL debut… Not happening for reasons understood by most here… If he is the back up tonight, at least he will be visible on the bench at the ready… Probably UPL though… If Levi was unfit to start, he is unfit to backup… Soon

Levi… top college goaltender, in front of family and friends, with the city of Montreal watching their hometown son make his NHL debut… vs our 7% chance of getting in the playoffs even with Comrie coming off a shutout?… If Levi tells DG he wants the start… and assuming he’s practiced well… is it a tough call for DG?… Maybe… Easy call for me… Just posting about the possibility makes me smile… But I’m old… seen enough to believe in the Power of Circumstance… and bet Levi and his teammates can meet his moment…
