Where is “all the interest”?  Twitter? This place?  No one is reporting any interest from NYR at all.

It's the echo chamber of their twitter followers and local media that Eichel is guaranteed coming with it won't cost them anything. For about a year now.

Larry Brooks reported the Rangers offered Kravtsov, Jones, Georgiev and a 1st.

Whether he or his sources made it up, I have no idea.

I'd believe it on the basis that the national reports from guys like Friedman are: "the Sabres and Rangers agree on almost nothing with respect to an Eichel deal".

    That offer fits.

I think the deal is going to be Smith, Krebs, Elvenes, Korczak, and a 2022 1st

Adams then moves Smith at the TDL with 50% retention for a pick

That deal is a major win.

(You can say it's Vegas' problem, and I'd respect that) I don't know how they shed more cap though, unless Tuch is a lock to be Kucherov'd the entire season.

A trade of Eichel, the rights to Ryan Johnson and a depth goalie (Tokarski) for: Strome, Chytil, Schneider, Georgiev and a 1st, would be a fine return in my opinion. While there is risk to be sure in any trade that focuses on multiple pieces; it is also the case that there are no guarantees around prospects like Zegras, Rossi or Krebs.

    bahahahahahahahaha.

    No. That's a Rangers fan's dream.

To me there is no chance he ends up with the rags as their offer is junk, they clearly have no plans to up it, any other offer can't be worse, we don't want him anywhere in the east and really Vegas makes far too much sense for both parties.

    Same.

All NYR ideas have only made sense from NYR's perspective, ie, 'let's make our ROR-STL trade with Buffalo!'

Vegas is win-win for both. Vegas becomes a heavy favorite, and drafted Krebs. Just need to finish this deal.

    RUMOR UPDATE

From an "insider" on a Flames board who's verified by the mods and broke the Coleman signing, Lucic/Neal trade, and Pitlick trade.

"I have heard it from a source close to management (if you don't want to believe me, all good) that the 3 teams still seriously in on Eichel are Anaheim, Vegas, and Calgary.

As well, there is a serious rift between Tkachuk and the team. He has not been training with any of the flames this summer, and has made it very clear he wants to go to the states (ideally St. Louis).

Last year after the Muzzin incident, closed door meeting for the players, but then Tkachuk met with management and was told "we will help you fight your battles, but we're not going to fight all of them every night".

From that point on, he was described as acting "pouty" for the rest of the season (which seems obvious now given how he was playing).

The Flames are looking to move him as part of the Eichel package, since there is almost 0% chance he re-signs here next summer, but Buffalo is not that interested in him. Likely because they know he isn't signing there either.
This seems to be the hold up on the Eichel deal. If a 3rd team got involved, Tkachuk would likely end up there with more futures going to Buffalo."

Hopefully Adams bypasses this Calgary thought altogether, and just focuses in on Vegas, and Krebs. Anaheim won't give up Zegras, so take the next best thing, and let's end this.

  7. My complaint:

How in the hell do the Pegulas expect to sell tickets this year?

I'll probably attend a bunch of games like usual, but I'm also an addict. The typical fan has long abandoned this team, and the casual fan even moreso.

Before covid the NFL made 16 billion in profit. Yet the league isn't chipping in money and the 5 billion dollar owners aren't. Let's fund the stadium, we get 75% of the profit until the loan is paid off plus 25% extra and then we get 25% of the profit from that point forward. Giving billions to rich ppl is ***** dumb. Nys would be better off investing 1.5 billion in Buffalo's telecommunications infrastructure to attract businesses.

Move the team. I'll watch college football instead.

It's realllllllllll easy to deal with this news as primarily a 49ers fan :D.

Jack and his agents have zero reason to want to endear themselves to Sabres fans. If you think that’s what is going on here I think you should read it and reconsider.

Oh, he definitely doesn't give a *****. He knows he's gone, he knows burning this bridge won't affect him at all, and he's just acting like a child because he can.

I have been to 4 different Sabres sites to see what fans reaction to the statement is. It has unanimously gone over like a lead balloon. Jack has zero love from the fan base after this stunt.

He'll be one of the all time hated Sabres when he leaves initially.  We'll see if that cools later.

I think that the whole reason that KA had that press conference was to make that statement about Jack being under contract.

    Probably to his agent.

"You guys started this ***** with the season ending presser. You guys leaks unhappiness every other day. We'll trade him when we get value. If we don't, you make 10 million for the next 5 years. See you at camp."
