I'd believe it on the basis that the national reports from guys like Friedman are: "the Sabres and Rangers agree on almost nothing with respect to an Eichel deal".
That offer fits.

All NYR ideas have only made sense from NYR's perspective, ie, 'let's make our ROR-STL trade with Buffalo!'
Vegas is win-win for both. Vegas becomes a heavy favorite, and drafted Krebs. Just need to finish this deal.

The Flames are looking to move him as part of the Eichel package, since there is almost 0% chance he re-signs here next summer, but Buffalo is not that interested in him. Likely because they know he isn't signing there either.

I'll probably attend a bunch of games like usual, but I'm also an addict. The typical fan has long abandoned this team, and the casual fan even moreso.

Krebs = top 6 center potential
Korczak = suitable Borgen replacement, and younger.
The rest of the deal can almost just be salary assistance from me. I'd take their 1st, but I'm not going to hang the deal on it.

I have no doubt Jack probably isn't a likeable guy, but this story seems dumb.
