  1. I don't understand how one can be so comfortable boldly stating something like this. He has yet to coach his first ever NFL game, much less gone through the evaluation process of several QBs and failing.

Brought back Tyrod Taylor. Installed an offense perfectly designed to make him look bad. Hire an OC who never called plays in the NFL. Hired a QB coach with zero NFL experience. Turned down by every OC with a resume. Passes on every good QB prospect to draft someone for his D.

    Get it yet?

No person has a clue how to evaluate QBs

    Sean is a person

That's what to they want you to think.

  2. I think taking a wr at 11 would be dumb. Take your qb.

Not sure what the rest of your post means.

The Bills have never spent their first pick on a QB. Now they will do it under Sean The Wrestler? A dude who is already angling for his next gig?!

  3. Maybe. Or they draft a qb in 2018 so good that we never speak about Mahomes again.

    11. Buffalo Bills (7-9)

Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU: After years of prioritizing speed over size at wideout, the Bills under new GM Brandon Beane and coach Sean McDermott have a new prototype at the receiver position -- big with impressive high-pointing ability. The 40-yard dash time isn't nearly as important for Buffalo as it once was. Sutton is 6-foot-3, around 220 pounds, and routinely wins at the catch point, even with smaller defenders draped all over him. With Sutton, Zay Jones and potentially Jordan Matthews if he's extended, the Bills will be difficult to stop in the red zone.

LOL. Already walking back this great 2018 class. So who will come on and apologize when the Bills pass on QB again?

  4. Let's try again. I didn't listen to scouting heads. I listened to 1 friend and then watched his college film and then him in preseason. I didn't care for much of it. I see the appeal but he didn't wow me.

If he's awesome, then the bills ###### up.

Well, the Bills messed up so bad it will be brought up the next 20 years.

  5. Yeah, I wonder what might have made me think that...

It's all good. I don't care about TBD anymore. Not interested in talking about it and wasting time about it.

I'll go back once they start handing out warnings to Cult of Tyrod members.

  6. On the QB/Mahomes question: there is a whole lotta pretending to know Mahomes' future going on in here by posters on both sides of the issue.

I think everyone can (or should) agree that:

    - Mahomes may or may not turn out to be a good NFL QB

    - it's very difficult to forecast Mahomes' future NFL success, or for that matter that of any other college QB

    - the Bills have done an awful job of addressing the QB situation over the past dozen years

    - the Bills should've devoted more high draft picks to the QB position over the past dozen years

    - it would've been highly defensible for the Bills to have drafted Mahomes

    - if Mahomes turns out to be a good NFL QB, then the Bills made a mistake in not drafting him

    - if Mahomes washes out, but White turns out to be a good DB and whoever the Bills get with KC's pick next year also turns into a good player, then the Bills made a good move in making the trade.

Bottom line: there are huge and unverifiable assumptions underlying both the "the Bills screwed up again by not drafting Mahomes" and "the Bills made a smart move in not drafting Mahomes" positions -- and the ceaseless and repetitive pretending otherwise in this thread is becoming tiresome.

True. I normally adopt this attitude with hockey prospects. But when I watch every college snap of a player I will be more opinionated.

That and we're still in a better position to succeed. We have

    Mahomes

    vs

White, 2018 Bills 1st round pick (QB), 2018 KC 1st round pick, and Peterman

There really is no way this trade blows up in our faces.

There is no way passing on a top QB to draft another corner could backfire?!

  7. It's not exactly rocket science figuring out where the posts are given that your total i found directly under your avatar.  So let's not pretend that I'm scanning through and counting every single post.

But anyway, here's what I'm thinking here.  You apparently got drummed out of TSW due to your attitude and unpopular opinion, so you decided to jump over here so you could try over with the same stuff.  You came here specifically to talk about the Bills and lash out a bit about what happened over there.  Now, maybe you will convince me otherwise as we get closer to hockey season, but that's where I'm sitting right now.

Nope. One mod asked me to take a few weeks off. But I like how you constructed this vast story around something that never happened.

  8. You gotta stop playing this card every time someone questions Mahomes. There are so many other teams that could have gotten Mahomes, are they all morons too?

Browns. Yes. But you kind of have to take Myles Garrett

    Jets. Yes

    Bills Yes

Bears No, Trubisky also a nice prospect

49ers No Shanahan probably bringing in Cousins

  9. So you didn't read what I said or you chose to ignore it?

What Mahomes did in college no longer matters. He does not currently play in college. From the 2 preseason games I watched where he played, he seemed very shaky in the pocket. Could be just the first couple of games and being a rookie. Right now though he has some things to work on and I think the Bills have a very good shot at getting a better QB in 2018.

Wanting or hoping for a QB is not a plan.

  10. We're going to get a faith-based QB, aren't we?

I'm sorry but I do not care what Mahomes did last year in College. Aaron Murray was an SEC leader in passing yards. He had 4 seasons of 3k plus yards. He's an awful NFL QB, actually isn't even a backup anymore. The point is until I see NFL tape of Mahomes not scrambling out of the pocket at the first sign of pressure or after his first read is taken away then I will have more faith. Until them he's just a young QB prospect with some question marks. .

Will Butcher won the Hobey Baker, that doesn't mean I think he can be Eric Karlsson.

Numerous examples to the contrary. 7:30

  11. I'm so conditioned to checking the Avatar to know who's posting, that your change is killing me. Not that it's bad just that I have to do a doubletake everytime I run across it.

Last year was a catastrophe for a bunch of the players on this team. I think a change will help most of them out but not all. No clue who'll be on either list. I'm hoping Samson and Bogo move to the good list.

I think that's right. When you sense you are on a sinking ship it can make the hockey harder.
