The Browns have the 1st and 2nd round picks of the Texans, who looked like puke today. Browns might well draft themselves into having a good team at some point.
I would trade the Bills roster for the Browns right now. They have much better young talent than the Bills.
-
So this game was probably the best case scenario right? Is there any reason to think this team can play better?
Too early to say. Bills D never really tested. Let's see what a real QB does against Buffalo over the next few weeks. Dennison, as I expected, very conservative. That's fine when you play the Jets but much more is needed against teams with actual weapons.
-
Jets look on their way to the #1 pick. Bills a little better but the problem is Bills have a much older team. I expect teams like the Jets and Browns to pass the Bills in the next 2 years.
-
Good thing that McDermott has a great #2 running back ready to roll. Mike Tolbert time.
-
Oh, that draft was 8/30.
Wow, well congrats on your trophy. If you got Hunt in the 6th you should be on your way.
-
8th of 10, I think. So that'd be pick 53?
I mean when was the draft?
-
Picked him up in the 6th round of a 10 team league and he's making me happy tonight.
When did you draft?
-
I'm not sure what's more obnoxious - the entire patriots team freaking out about flags every. single. play. that doesn't go their way, or the refs giving them to them.
Smith just threw a ball further than 10 yards away. Of course it was Stephon
Chiefs pick is gonna be a couple dozen picks deep in the draft
Good to know intentional grounding still applies to all NFL QBs except Tom
The Chiefs called everyone from 5 on up and only Buffalo bit on the trade. That tells a lot about this great trade that and value that Sean was able to get back.
-
Well, I really am glad I got Kareem Hunt in the third round in my 14 team league.
Yeah, if you think Whaley made that decision, you're a funny guy.
Don't worry, we got the Tolldozer.
-
Man, Touchdown Mike really looking like he is enjoying himself. Good to see Buffalo did their part and developed him for our rival.
-
Great coaching on both sides as Belichick and Reid finding weaknesses to exploit.
-
With good slot receivers and good coaching, is it possible Tyrod can be coached to and still learn to be a better over-the-middle passer?
He is going into his 8th year in the NFL. He is what he is.
-
Did you have any though?
Any word with more than one syllable was a big word to this guy.
-
Jello wrestling?
Aww man, now I got my wheels upstairs going.... Time for ####hub
I had this wrestling coach who would ask me if I had any SAT words for him. Yeah, IQ not a hot commodity on a high school wrestling team.
-
Never mind your football credentials. Did you have any stories of succeeding in unrelated fields such as wrestling or bible camp?
I was a wrestler in high school. That's why I can't stop bringing it up.

You should run the Bills
Well, I am unqualified. But I do know a poorly run team when I see it.
-
He's also the outlier, not the norm
The norm for what? Tom Brady was drafted 17 years ago. If you look at the best QB's from the last few drafts only Luck and Winston stand out as pro-style QB hits. And you had to have the #1 pick overall to get them. The QB values were found in spread QB's such as Derek Carr and Dak Prescott. Unless the Bills have the first pick overall they better start scouting ALL of the college QB's, not just ones who look like winners drafted 15 years ago.

I just went ahead and signed up for Buffalo Star. They have comments enabled so maybe the subscription barrier will weed out some of the dumber comments and provide some additional content in addition to what I already get here on Sabrespace.
I did too. Why not support this and hope they can cater to customers as they grow.

Tom Brady is not a pro style quarterback?
Science? Not a chance in hell
Brady is the quintessential pro-style QB. But how many QB's has Michigan produced since? My point was that times have changed and you can't eliminate spread QB's or you miss out on Dak Prescott, Marcus Mariotta, Derek Carr, and Pat Mahomes 2.
-
As long as the Super Bowl Winners employ this type of QB, that will be the norm.
Russell Wilson says hi. And Brady drafted a million years ago. If the Bills draft an actual Brady I have no issue with it. My problem is pro style guys who can't play.
-
Jeff, I've gotta ask you: Is there ANY quarterback, last year or this upcoming year, that you would consider, other than Mahomes?
Because if not, I'm beginning to think that "Jeffistragic" might be a better user name for you.
Rosen and Darnold are guys worth considering. I like Mayfield's moxie but worry about his physical traits and how they stack up. At this time I have not come to any conclusions on this class other than I don't like Allen.
For the record I had three QB's I liked last year.
Mahomes and Trubisky in the 1st and Dobbs later on.

I won't pay for their product because I don't like it, but I found this interesting regarding the Athletic and their paywall structure:
https://theathletic.com/40690/2017/02/27/letter-from-the-editor-why-the-athletic-has-a-paywall/
That's the model the Buffalo Star is emulating as well.

A good breakdown of why Risto's stats are the way they are (maybe) by Matthew Coller.
Featuring a Josie original painting.
Awesome! Thanks for that good read.

I want nothing to do with Josh Allen. Pretty sure most scouts have him behind Jackson, Rudolph, and Mayfield anyways
Unfortunately, he is tall, white and "Pro-Style". So he will get over-drafted. Lots of NFL teams employ scouts looking for a QB they liked in the 1950's.

Rodgers looks rusty. Holding on to the ball way too long.
