Terry Pegula’s money is not as green as everyone else’s at this point. What’s the point of having a billionaire for an owner if people won’t take his money. And don’t tell me at least he’s keeping them in Buffalo, that is not enough.

Teams (and governments) are rarely as "locked in" as they believe, and it's that kind of decision-making that very often leads to horrible outcomes.
I’d argue his entire end of the season press conference suggested exactly that.

Not sure, but not being able to sign FAs seems to be a new low. We’ve always been on people’s NMC for like a decade, but at least before we could offer being able to play with Jack and Sam. If what Dreger said is true, hoping this is a new low and will impact them.

It’s going to be hard getting to the cap floor. Overpaying FAs to play here would be antithetical to what KA is trying to do. We don’t want people who don’t want to be here. I don’t envy his position at all.
