Jack's floating problem has been noted for well over a year at this point. Will be interesting to see if does start moving his feet more next season.
He's gassed. It's not for lack of effort or skill. I think he misses ROR more than just about anyone right now. And Bylsma gives him line mates that make no sense for his game. Reinhart could barely skate at an NHL level last year. A solid NHL offseason will do him a lot of good. That and a stud winger on his line.
-
Yeah, it would. I think he's built for the occasional big moment but that's it. He just doesn't seem to have it enough to dominate games. Good player. No where near generational.
GO SABRES!!!
So because he can't dominate after playing more hockey games in a single year this year than he ever has before, against the best in the world, at age 19, we can make this call about him already? I might as well sell my jersey then and become an Oilers fan.

Reinhart hitting the post makes me sick, Pysyk missing that pass makes me sicker, and Pom scoring the winning SO goal makes me sickest.
-
Nice poke by Lehner on the breakaway, good on Bogo for staying on the back check there also.
-
Where is Freeman to tell me how Reinhart can't play in OT because he's too slow? WHERE ARE YOU FREEMAN!?!?!
:w00t:

Risto completely out of position, and Lehner with the open 5 hole again

Sabres tweeted out a gif of a beautiful angle of the Eichel goal. That shot makes my head hurt. Deceptively good.
-
Lehner letting in some softies and we're still ahead. He can win you some games but it shouldn't always be on him. These are the types of games I want to see the Sabres play.

I love watching this line play.

Eichel centering Reinhart and Kane tonight. What is there even left to say about DD's line choices?

I have a date this weekend. Now, you might be wondering why this is in the complaint threat...because it's on a Sunday night. WTF am I supposed to do at 8pm Sunday night in the middle of winter? No, cooking and staying in is not an option because my cooking...yea, it's not an option. Dinner and a movie it is! How delightfully unoriginal.
I would definitely advise against a movie on the first date. Kills the potential for conversation for a few hours. But if you do see one, do that before dinner. Gives you an easy thing to talk about at dinner if you're struggling and need an easy out. My first date with my current girlfriend was a Sabres game last year, the February game against the Stars. Worked out really well, gave us a few hours to talk, even though she's not a big hockey fan it went really well for that reason.

What the forward lines should be:
Foligno - Eichel - Girgensons
Kane - Reinhart - Gionta
Deslauriers - Larsson - Moulson
Catenacci - Legwand - COR

I've been playing Dark Souls lately. So hard, but so fun. This is how I wanted the combat to work when I tried and failed to get into Skyrim.
Agreed. Similar thing happened to me with Bloodborne and Witcher 3. Bloodborne is so fast a fluid, Witcher just felt so clunky by comparison. I was in the closed beta for Dark Souls 3 and it's the perfect balance between BB and DS. I can't wait.

Game doesn't even get to OT and the arguably weak goal if the Sabres can put up more than 1 goal on a pathetic defensive team. It's time for the team to win some games for Lehner. Doesn't always have to be the other way around. Lehner was shaky last night, but he still made the saves in regulation to give his team a chance to win.

I've been playing Dark Souls the last week. I'm enjoying this game way more than I thought I would. The only aspect I don't care for is multiplayer. I wish I could turn off multiplayer and have everything else the same.
You can play without multiplayer, just start the game offline. One of my favorite games ever.
-
Hah, nice.
I thought Lehner was really shaky. At least twice he was making snow angels in the crease for no apparent reason. He made a few nice saves, but the giant rebound on the called back goal, and weak OT goal.
Not his best game, but the saves were made. Sometimes your team can win games for your goalie. Doesn't have to always be the other way around.

Is this place going to be insufferable for the rest of the season? Yes? Okay.
Definitely. Not looking forward to it.
If that's how you want to spin it, be my guest.
So how did you mean it then if I'm mistaken? Hard to take it any other way when you reference the last 5 years. How many players on the ice tonight have played consistently for the Sabres the last 5 years?
-
He will, and it will be all talk just like it's been for the last 5 years. Talk about how bad they are, how they need to step up and make things happen.......... only to watch the same ###### next game.
So we can hold past performances against an almost entirely new team working under a new, arguably ineffective, system? Good to know.
-
Lehner makes 39 saves, rebounds from being hung out to try by terrible defense and letting in an early goal, and the Sabres can't give him any goal support against an absolutely pathetic defensive team. Robin needs to start busting some heads in the locker room.

But that's what makes Buffalo awesome. A couple ppl might be like "hey! you're so and so, great to meet you." and then you go on with your day but I always felt like theres some unsaid respect thing for our players that you don't be obnoxious in public to them. I am not sure that exists everywhere.
Agreed. I shook his hand, told him I love watching and hope he's back soon, and that was all. No picture, no autograph. But it was awesome.

Just met O'Reilly in the Amherst St Wegmans sub line. Really nice guy. Has that damn boot on. No one else there even looked at him twice, and there I was fan girling.

You and me both. But the end of suffering is still well in sight as far as I'm concerned.
