  1. Honest question.  How many games have we lost because of goaltending this year? 2-3, 6-8, more? We are close enough to the playoffs that almost any amount would put us in the playoffs. I know we need defense help but I'm just focusing on goaltending. Just one player could have made a huge difference. Also I know even good goalies have bad games and cost games but I'm talking about losses above what average goaltending would do. I  think we're in the 6-8 games lost solely because of poor goaltending.

  2. At about 10 minutes left in the game after a couple of great saves by Anderson Dunleavy said "you aren't going to get far in this league without great goaltending." Next season will be KA's 4th season at trying to fix the goaltending situation.  He better get it right this time.  Just imagine if we had this caliber goaltending as tonight all season we wouldn't be wondering if we can make the playoffs we would already be in a playoff spot.

My goodness how things have changed in the last 5 days with playoff hopes. Scoreboard has been cruel, players injured, no trades and teams around them all got better.

I will hope for the best but all of a sudden, playoffs seem like a distant memory.

To the bold. Unfortunately most of the teams around us have been adding players for the playoff push. It's just sad for the team and the fans that KA hasn't made much of an effort to help this team make the playoffs.  It might be different if we had made the playoffs a couple of times in the past 11 years but since we haven't, it makes it more imperative that he make a trade that will improvethis team. Unfortunately there probably isn't much left out there that could help us. As someone up thread mentioned,  we don't know the future, we may not be this close to making the playoffs next year (we should be but you never know). When you are as close as we are, you have to make some sort of effort to make it in.

When everyone is healthy, they're a better than average team in the mix for a playoff position.

However, we all know they're the youngest team in the league and are lacking depth at some key positions.

That said, it should come as no surprise that they'll struggle if any of their core guys go down for any extended period of time.

Yeah the timing of it sucks, but the important thing right now is guys like Quinn and Power gaining experience as top line contributors.

This season was never about making the playoffs.

To the bold. It could have been. It's just one more missed opportunity.

It's funny but those are the 3 things I said we needed before the season started (and possibly a 2 way 3C) and said they were missing an opportunity by not getting them. These holes have been there all year and are still there.

And some holes have been here for longer than that. GOALIE!!! I've been advocating for that one for a couple of years at least. Anderson just can't handle to much of the workload.

  6. After the game rob Ray gave the shots on goal and score for each team. Then proceeded to say that UPL played a good game. I'm  sorry but in what universe is 4 goals on 28 shots playing a good game. Granted they all aren't on him but even if you give him 2. Then 2 goals on 28 shots is still not good. The only reason UPL has a winning record is because we are currently the second highest goal scoring team in the league.
