Yup.  I don’t trust anyone on this team.

Yep I can go for that but not just him

    There is that.

And I keep going back to phantom success when players play in roles above them.  They often have better numbers than they should. At least for awhile.

He's playing mostly 3rd line minutes, so he should be on the 4th line??

  2. 1st in points, 1st in assists, 4th in goals, 1st in +/- for the team, a +17 over Cozens in +/-, plays on 1st thru 3rd line, one of the better forwards on the wall and you want to trade this guy, you don't trust him?? I'm guessing some of you then don't trust anyone on the team. He's also 2nd on the team's forwards in TOI. I'm not sure what else you want from this guy. This isn't 2019, he's past that stage, give the man his due, he's playing as well as anyone on the team right now. At his present pace he'll score 70 points this year. You're ok to give a guy 7M for 40 points but you don't want to pay him a decent salary and term. Oh I forgot he doesn't fight so get rid of him 🙄🙄🙄

  3. Grew up a Yankees fan because I thought they had to be in the World Series (50's-mid 60's). Moved to Houston and became an Astro's fan especially after they bought the Yankees (yes they've owned them the past 10 years). Hate everything Dallas so no way I could ever cheer for the Stars, Cowboy's or Rangers.

Tage's data is much more robust, as it lasted basically the whole season, and these are very good numbers. But I'm intrigued by the idea of continuing to keep Casey there. What's stopping me is that I think we can find good chemistry for Casey on another line easier than we could for Tage.

Disagree a bit with you. Skinner-Mitts-Tuch

                                             TNT-Cozens-Quinn

                                             JJP-Krebs-(Rousek)Whomever else wins this spot

                                             Girgs-Jost-Greenway

2 1A lines a 3rd line and a 4th line. This is all depending on Mitts continuing his upkeep. You've got speed on the 3rd line and you need guys on the 4th line that can play the PK and give you a few minutes of competency on the 4th. If you can't find guys that are ready to fill holes on the bottom 6, trade some of your assets for them. You still need some vets to fill those holes if at all possible. Olofsson's trade should fill either a bottom 6 role of a 5-6th Defensiveman. One of the GK's and a pick should be able to fill another role while the 2-3rd GK'r stays as Levi's backup.

  5. My observations of the game, as much as I like rereading the GDTs, I can't look at it during the games. I get so caught up in the games that reading everyone's immediate reaction to everything that goes drives me up the wall.

The negatives are this wasn't one of Peterka's, VO or Bryson's best games. Having said that, they collectively didn't blow the game but were beaten by a very hot GK. As bad as they played, when you give up only 3 goals, 2 of them by McDavid, you should normally win that game at home. We have to start a home winning streak and that is the #1 reason we're not in a playoff spot at the moment.

Quinn has really flourished playing with Thompson and Skinner. He's getting more space playing with those guys and he's really starting to play well. The Cozens and Mitts line has really done well and has build so solid chemistry since put together and if you add Tuch to that line, do you have another #1 line on the team?? As good as Dahlin has become, I think we're starting to take him for granted. He makes plays that are nothing short of outstanding on a game by game basis. There are very few Dmen that play as well as Power at such a young age. He makes an occasional rookie mistake but he's so cool under pressure that he was definitely worth the #1 pick in the draft.

Does a Skinner-Thompson-Quinn......... Mitts-Cozens-Tuch......... Peterka-Krebs-Greenway top 3 lines look as deadly moving forward as it does to me??

We need a #1A GK to become a contender more than anything else KA can add moving forward. Even with the loss we're back in the driver's seat if we can win later today against the NY Islanders

  6. LETS GO BUFFALO!!!

Need a victory to get ready for the road trip and a way to make up the points we are behind in this playoff race. Everyone appears to be healthy so no excuse is needed. Flames led by Lindholm, Toffoli and Kadri. I think Anderson is still out. So that may help. Calgary is 5-4-1 in their last 10 games, losing the last 2.

Someone else may have mentioned it but it would be interesting to see Krebs in-between Quinn and JJ. It seemed that the Quinn-Krebs-JJ line clicked in Rochester. Just a thought.

Are these guys fully naked? If so, then this is pornographic. 🤡

They may have clicked in Rochester but Quinn has 2 points in his last 17 games and JJ has 5 points in his last 21 games. They have been far from productive with the big boys. Hopefully they can turn it around but way more often than not Cozens has been the only productive player on that line. Krebs has 6 points in his last 18 games. Much more likely they get smoked in this game, no offense Wyld.

    1. Sabres over the delucca 500 at this point of the season has been awhile
    2. I don't understand the Mitts hate, is he an all star, no but he does play a 3rd-4th line role and is on pace for a 47 point season and the coaching and management staff seem to still have faith in him
    3. Do Dahlin and Thompson both get selected to the all star game and if just one who goes to the game
    4. Where do you rank the Tuch-Skinner-Thompson line in the division
    5. I'm missing the fascination with a Chychrun trade, he's more of an offensive Dman, do you really see KA sitting Power or Dahlin for him??
    6. January's results should give us a real idea for the playoff chances of this team, a big month and they're in it, a .500 month and we're out IMO
    7. GK although not great is keeping us in games. UPL is making the big saves especially on breakaways
    8. The Bruins game will give us a real feel for where we're at
    9. Cozens having a breakout year and is covering for Quinn and JJP rookie errors so far
    10. Making KO the captain was the correct move and you just can't complain about the hustle Girgs provides
    11. Rack up Jost for another good pickup by KA and Krebs plays better with the vets guidance.

  8. To be alive. Nearly died twice while traveling overseas recently. What was scary was not dying but knowing if I did go that I wouldn't have a chance to say goodbyes to family and friends. If I learned anything and have made it mission is to tell loved ones what they mean to you and those who've made an imprint on your life exactly that. Don't assume they know, make sure they know by telling them. The worst regret you'll have is not passing that on for yourself and others, you never know when your time will end and your loved ones need to hear it even more than you do.
