I also said its a possibility, because it quite literally could happen because he’s an adult who can make his own decisions. Unless you make the decisions for him. That is always a possibility since next year he’s a UFA. It will depend on what he sees internally and if he believes they’re still on the right track. I do thank this season was a bit if an anomaly with DG pushing a high flying offense. what will be telling is if he signs another short term contract this summer

I’m under the impression that DG thinks he can get more out of Greenway and that’s why Adams took him. He did have slightly better stats in previous years. I’m wonder if they think he could give the team a strong net front presence. I guess we’ll see what happens next season well said

Well then greenway isn’t even playing his own game. That is exactly what he was known for, physical, especially on the forecheck, strong defensive-minded winger.

I’m not saying fighting but it would be nice if he stood up for his new team. If he doesn’t want to be here then Adams ignored his #1 rule when bringing players to the Sabres. They have to want to be there.

None of us know what DG is saying or isn’t saying . I’m just making an inference since DG wanted him so bad because he saw potential in him back in the day on top of seeing that he hasn’t been physical or even gritty.

When you were picked specifically to add “grit” To the team then it IS your job. Plus he should do what he needs to do to gain respect amongst his teammates and sticking up for your Captain, who is also one of the elders of the team, would go a long way. Obviously you don’t know what respect is or how to gain it plus Okie was doing his job and by standing up to Delarieus. It was plainly obvious that Stillman didn’t have the balls to do it so Okie did.

I’m not saying he needs to drop the gloves but you’re good with him just stand there and watch Deslauriers push around the Captain? Obviously I feel differently. IMO he should have gotten in between them even if he took a penalty. The game was way over by that point, who cares

He’s in the mix (at the moment) because of the super aggressive offense DG has pushed this season. If they played more defense and the scoring wasn’t so high, there is a possibility he wouldn’t be top 5 because his points and goals would be lower. He claims that he isn’t hurt but most of us don’t really believe him but his numbers are dropping off quickly but so is the super high scoring offense.

I do believe that Dahlin’s development is being stunted because he has been on a horrendous team since day 1. Will he develop to his full potential? who knows. He was better this season (up until the Allstar break). Could he be hurt and that is causing him to fall off a cliff, possibly. Could his conditioning not be to the level he should be at to play such a high number of minutes for such an extended period, possibly. time will tell if he becomes the defenseman people think he’ll be.

@PerreaultForever and I disagree because he doesn’t think that DG would try and change Greenways game and I believe he would. I think DG would have him focus on scoring instead of having him be physical and hit people one way or another. I heard Greenway was hard on the forecheck. The only thing I’ve seen was how he can freeze the put in the corner but he hasn’t been remotely physical

some people believe that these kids are fragile snowflakes that should be treated with kid gloves. I know we call them kids but they are young adult men. The need to be treated like men. The teams that have beaten the Sabres easily are teams coached by strong coaches who have a very structured team game. I know the Flyers suck but they’re structure is what beat the Sabres
